To say we were completely disappointed with our recent stay would be an understatement. My family and I have stayed at the Nordic Village in the past and have always enjoyed the resort - until our recent stay. I know there are some great reviews and beautiful pictures of the resort, but we must have taken a wrong turn somewhere on the drive up to our unit (Karlstad)! Burned out light bulbs, covers missing from light fixtures, damaged dryer vent hose, closet doors off their tracks, bathroom faucets that look like they haven't been touched since the establishment was built... I will let the attached photos speak for themselves - truly disappointed with our stay. Spoke to management the morning of checkout, even showed them pictures of our unit - unbelievable response to say the least. You should be ashamed to advertise these units under Nordic Village.

Booked a room for two nights end of September to allow us to visit the White Mountains and the Fryeburg Fair. Upon checking in we were informed we had been upgraded to the suite on the top of the mountain and we immediately settled in. What an upgraded, amazing room with the most gorgeous view one could imagine. The peak of the season. Staff made some great suggestions from hikes to take and places to eat. A truely special experience that will not soon be forgotten. The Fair was an afterthought and we put in a mandatory couple of hours, couldn't wait to get back to oiur digs and enjoy the scenery.

So thankful to Nancy, Cathy, Rhonda, and Caitlin (office) for making our last stay at Nordic Village Resort a most romantic, memorable experience. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and provided all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend this resort not only for honeymooners but also for families with small children. There is something for everyone!

Everything about our vacation on the resorts end was handled smoothly. Excellent service at the front desk. The suite we stayed in was very family friendly. The sofa bed looked to be in brand new condition. We plan to return for the snowy season, for sure!

Loved it, just warm!
Went for story land which is close enough to walk to! The only problem was the AC unit was only in the living room and the bedroom would get really hot at night. Otherwise beautiful place!

The property is absolutely stunning and well kept. The view from Hallstad mountain virw was phenomenal. The jacuzzi tub in the room was unusable due to either inproper cleaning or maintenance but other than that it was a great experience and we will be back again.

The property is nice however the newly renovated was just some new light fixtures and countertops, the carpet looks old and the stairs leading to the master bathroom were creaky and felt loose. The faucet in the master bathroom was loose and the shower and tub are both really old. Was expecting a completely renovated place but it is only slightly updated. However it is clean and a large place, I would stay there again.
