I was just a little bit disappointed with my second time stay when I had to call the mobile number to get the access code to get in. Nobody answered and I left a voice message and also a text message. I waited for around 15 minutes making a few more calls to the same number during this time before someone finally got back to me. I'm a frequent traveller and I always get a text message with the access code from those hotels which use such systems. I hope that this is taken in good faith to improve this process making it easier for guests."

"Big complex. Three floors. No lift! Room was on 3rd floor! Room was a good size. Furniture old and tired. Curtains torn and badly water stained. Lock on balcony door was not attached to the wall so wouldn't lock. Kitchen was sparsely equipped. Not enough cutlery. Plates were dirty-had to wash them before we used them. Wouldn't stay here again. "

"No one there to book us in, had to wait in the heat, no toilet paper in the bathroom, the room smelt musty. The fridge wasn’t turned on & had been closed so it was full of mould. Pillows were lucky to be 10cm thick. One was stained after removing the pillow case as it smelt musty. We used to live in Gladstone & stayed there a lot for overnight stays away from teenagers. We also stayed there once a month for 10 years when we moved to Yeppoon as we still had work in Gladstone as it was an affordable price. It’s way overpriced now for the state of the place. Over the last 20 years the place has been mismanaged & let go. Nothing in the rooms has been changed in 20 years except maybe the bathroom vanities & the TV’s. Sorry, never staying there again."

"The smell of previous smokers is so noticeable nowadays. The room initially had a "cleaning" smell but that soon became obvious as smoke in the curtains, pillows, blankets and room generally. The room was dirty and tired. The only redeeming feature was the offer that included a complimentary dinner dish from the attached restaurant. The location was handy to walk to a local shopping precinct."
