They were not aware of our booking when we arrived. From there the shirtless guy lied constantly and we were put in a dark, dingy, dirty basement room although we had a confirmation for a room with a view. Should you wish for a seamless, peaceful experience - rather steer clear of this place. Unless you want to ruin your Gjirokaster experience.

Great location with a superb view of the castle and the mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they treat you like you're a family guest. The room was spacious and comfortable, it had air conditioning and a small fridge. If you are in Gjirokastra for the first time, make sure to ask a local for directions because Google Maps is not accurate and the streets are very narrow and steep. The house is easy to find, but you should drive carefully. I stayed for three days with two other friends for a very reasonable price.
