Property Description
The Hideaway at Haigler Creek is a luxury cabin in the very private Preserve at Haigler Creek, a small community surrounded by national forest. The cabin is 3003 sq feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It has Starlink high speed wifi so you can still be connected to the world while away from it all. It has many luxury amenities for your enjoyment such as an OLED TV, Apple TV, Games, Tuft & Needle mattresses and more. Gila Country STR Permit #STR-2509-0088 The main floor has a large modern kitchen with a gas stove, and it's fully stocked with the latest small appliances for any job. It also features a dining room as well as the main living room with a wood burning fireplace, large plush couch and an OLED TV combined with Sonos sourond sound. The Master bedroom on this floor is quite large with a Tuft and Needle Mint mattress and a huge Whirlpool jetted tub. Upstairs features a spacious loft with couch, LED TV, and games. It's an open air design to the main floor and maintains the perfect view of the two story windows. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, the first being a King suite with private access to the bathroom. The second is the bunk house room featuring custom pine queen over queen and full over full adult bunk beds all with Tuft and Needle mattresses! Additionally, there 2 fold out memory foam mattresses ( a full and a queen!) Outside, the property is about 2.5 fully fenced acres and has 2 grass lawns, a large fire pit and access to hiking right out the back gate. Haigler creek is only a few hundred yards from the cabin and you can hear it from the deck. The creek runs year round and offers great swimming and fishing. It's stocked with trout in late spring through fall. This cabin is exactly what you need. It has all the ammenties for a comfortable stay while also being private, quiet and a chance to take a break from the busy world. Listen to the creek from the deck, enjoy fishing or swimming, then come back to enjoy the jetted master bath tub. The town of Young is only about a 20 min drive. It has a gas station, grocery store and a couple restaurants. Cabin directions: ***Young Hwy route recommended in winter and snowy/rainy days*** If coming from Hwy 260 (Payson or Show-low) Option 1: Colcord Rd - Faster route but more bumpy/less maintained dirt road. Not always accesible in winter. (12.3 miles from Hwy 260) Drive south on Colcord Rd for 4.0 miles and turn right on Forest Service Rd 200 Drive on Forest Service Rd 200 for 8.3 miles Cabin driveway on your left through a sliver gate with the lamp post. There is also a green gate at the top of the driveway to keep out wildlife. Option 2: Young Hwy - Longer route but less bumpy/more maintained dirt road (28.8 miles from Hwy 260) Drive south on Young Hwy (Forest Service Rd 512) for 21 miles and turn right on Forest Service Rd 200 Drive on Forest Service Rd 200 for 7.8 miles. Cabin driveway on your right through a sliver gate with the lamp post. There is also a green gate at the top of the driveway to keep out wildlife. Caution: The roads and driveway can be steep in some places. Be prepared to drive slow, make sure you have good tires, and always carry a spare. All Wheel Drive or 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are recommended, especially in winter or rain. !!Wildlife, rodents, and bugs oh my!! ** While we do our best to limit the nuisance of wildlife, rodents and bugs on the property, please keep in mind that this property is in the middle of the national forest. As multiple pest control companies have told us “It is virtually impossible to control”. It’s hard enough in the city but out in the mountains, especially as remote as we are, please understand we are living in their domain. It is completely common to see elk, deer, javelina, coyotes, turkeys, squirrels and mice to just name a few. We have even had black bears in the yard. In addition you will see bugs! Especially in the summer months when they are most active. That being said if you see something out of the ordinary please let us know. Cameras are installed around the exterior of the property to monitor wildlife, etc. as well as one in the garage. House rules: • Haul out all trash. There are no trash services in the community. We have provided trash bags, use as many as you need. • No music or loud noises at any time! All noise carries in the canyon so please help maintain the peace and quiet sought by those who live and visit here. Any complaints from neighbors will result in an immediate termination of your stay. Please be respectful. • Do not park anything on the grass areas. There are sprinklers and septic lines that will break. • Be aware of fire restrictions. Seasonal restrictions do not allow fires. Check the following site before an outside fire. https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/tonto/alerts-notices You are welcome to use the fireplace inside anytime. Additionally, many fire restrictions still allow for propane-based fires. • Leave used beds unmade so we know which bedding to change and wash. • Leave used towels in the laundry room so we know which ones to wash. • Wash any used dishes. You’re welcome to leave a load running in the dishwasher. Fishing/Creek Access: • There is fishing gear in the garage, and you are welcome to use it! Please put any equipment back where you found it. • Creek access is found just north of the neighborhood about 1⁄2 mile along the main road (FS200). There is also creek access at the picnic sites and campsites on both ends of the neighborhood as well as other places along the road (FS200). Wi-Fi / TV: • High speed Wi-Fi is available for your convenience. The password is watchforbears • We have an Apple TV streaming box on all TVs. Property and beds were wonderful. But we had a lot of issues with the house. The driveway is difficult and scary, AC, the one shower has issues, grill is charcoal, not enough silverware, sharp knives and pans for 12, taking all your trash when you leave. Parts of the deck need repair.

Beautiful Cabin and Great Customer Service! Very spacious and a variety of entertainment amenities such as Nintendo, Home theater system, Neflix, board games and more for families. Very quiet cabin village with beautiful scenery. Joshua, owner is so supportive and quickly replied to me about all questions that I asked. All facilities and home supplies are very clean and well organized. We had a wonderful time with my church families! Thank you so much for your kind support and help, Joshua.

Lovely home in a beautiful location Our large family made Thanksgiving family memories in this lovely home. Lots of space and room for everyone. Every kitchen appliance that you can imagine has been provided. Plenty of plates, utensils and drinkware. We were thankful that we brought our own casserole dishes. Thanksgiving dinner required plenty of these. Table space made it possible for our group to all sit together for meals. Outdoor space was perfect for Family Field Day games. We checked out the creek and I imagine it's a great place to enjoy in the summer. Had to set up a shower schedule as there is only one shower, however there is a jetted tub in the primary for those who like to tub. Everyone agreed that the beds were very comfortable. Kids enjoyed the loft area and gaming system that was provided. The drive in is beautiful and exciting! We had dry roads but heed the owner's warnings about possible road conditions. The memories we made during our stay are priceless.
