The Brafferton Inn

The Brafferton Inn is a delightful property located in the center of Gettysburg, PA. I enjoyed a night there in mid April 2025. The website is very informative, accurate and easy to use in making reservations. I arrived around 4:00 PM and found temporary parking conveniently marked for check-in on York street directly in front of entrance to the inn. Parking after checkin is located at a safe location just 200 feet away. The hosts and proprietors, Brian and Amy Beth, greeted me at the foyer with smiles and a warm welcome. After check-in, they gave me an orientation tour of the property and informed me of the comforts and hospitality services and amenities for my stay. All rooms are beautifully furnished and decorated. I found myself enjoying their cookies while admiring the historical paintings and artwork in each common room. There are plenty of books and magazines on topics of the local history and tourism. I booked the Battle room upstairs overlooking York street. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and most comfortably pleasant for relaxing, and sleep. There are at least a half dozen restaurants and taverns within 2-3 blocks walk. A delicious prepared breakfast awaits you in the morning. The Brafferton Inn exceeded my expectations for a night in Gettysburg. I'll be back to the Brafferton Inn again soon as a destination for an enjoyable getaway.

We wanted our Gettysburg experience to be special and The BRAFFERTON checked all the boxes - above and beyond. The location and parking arrangement was just right. The house had a lovely character and felt very welcoming!

Loved the history of the Brafferton! Brian and Amy are great! This was our first stay at a B&B and we loved it. The breakfasts were delicious. The inn is beautiful and historic. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Make sure to get the chocolate covered strawberries…so good! Everything about our experience was 5 star. Highly recommend!

This was a truly outstanding experience. We like historical inns and this is the nicest stay we've ever had. The building is interesting and the hosts do a good job of showing you around and giving you some history. The accommodations were excellent and the breakfasts were superb. The quality, quantity, and selection of the breakfasts were surprising. Far superior to any others and they have been quite good.

There are many B&B Inns to choose from in Gettysburg, but for me the Brafferton Inn is the best, bar none. The owners Brian and Amy were very friendly to everyone. I enjoyed reading the local daily newspaper prior to breakfast along with browsing some of the Civil War books. They offer a number of choices for your breakfast, which I never experienced elsewhere. What ever you choose you can't go wrong as each dish is delicious. Your given a fruit cup, tea or coffee, juice and a homemade muffin. The muffins are off the chart yummy. In the afternoon cookies are available when you come back from your day's travel. Our room, Tillie's Room, was clean, comfy and in a quiet part of the house. Parking is free and around the corner. Mr. G's ice cream is a must, but be prepared to wait as they have long lines. It's worth the wait. Many other shops and restaurants are within walking distance. It was military weekend during our visit and I found that fascinating. On our way out we saw horseback tours, which we missed, and that looked like lots of fun. Book your room now and enjoy Gettysburg!
