The Brafferton Inn

This was our second trip to Gettysburg. On our first trip we stayed at a large chain hotel outside of town. This time we wanted to experience more of Gettysburg and we chose the Brafferton and glad we did. The inn is located in downtown Gettysburg, a block away from the square. When we arrived we were greeted by Amy Beth. She welcomed us warmly and spent time explaining the history and all the amenities of the inn. We were shown to our room, the Gettys suite. The suite had two bedrooms, a living area and a full kitchen (with it's own Kurig!) We were shown our parking spot behind the building (complimentary...no meters!). We chose to eat breakfast outside both mornings we were there and it was lovely. Each day there were three egg choices and a pancake/French toast item, all delicious. Orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade pastries and coffee/tea were also included. We made the right decision choosing the Brafferton. It was lovely and enhanced our stay in Gettysburg. Our family is already planning our next trip to Gettysburg and of course the Brafferton, Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Brafferton Inn in Gettysburg. Amy Beth and Brian greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of their lovely home. The home is beautifully decorated and we had a lovely room. It was spotless. In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast. We have stayed at many B&B's and this one was the best. We look forward to returning again.

We just got home from our one night visit at the Brafferton, I wish I could give them 10 stars!!! I spent a few hours looking at all the B&B’s in Gettysburg before picking this one, after walking by some of the others I am so glad we selected this one. It is decorated so beautifully and has such a warm welcoming feel. We stayed in Dorothy’s Hideway, it is so charming and the bed and sheets are so comfy! Everything was so very clean! They are located right in the heart of all the action. The breakfast absolutely delicious, I think I could drive there again (3.5 hours) just to get the breakfast pastry! The family was so kind and helpful. My only regret was that we could only stay one night.

Our stay at the Brafferton Bed and Breakfast built in 1786 just seemed like an appropriate place to stay in Gettysburg. It was charming and the hosts were exceptional. The breakfast was five star ! We would definitely stay there again. Tim & Jessica F Ohio

Downtown Gettysburg is so historic and quaint and the Brafferton Inn B&B fits right in there perfectly. The original part of the Inn just oozes history and charm. I stayed in Tillies Room and found it to be enjoyable and refreshing. It was so hot outside too and the AC worked just fine. Owners Brian and Amy and their staff were so nice and a pleasure to talk with about the Inn and the town. Breakfast was excellent as well. I was even able to get my son to join me for my day 2 breakfast. I highly recommend you stay at the Brafferton Inn B&B when you are able. In fact, I will be visiting Gettysburg again in September and plan to stay again here.

My daughter and I recently stayed in the loft suite at the Brafferton. The inn itself was quaint and beautifully decorated, and the owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were to die for and left us filled for the entire day! The suite was huge with two big bedrooms, comfortable beds and arm chairs, a nicely sized bathroom, and an eating area with a drop leaf table, small fridge, microwave, and coffee station. While we were there, it was quite hot, but the rooms stayed comfortable with AC units. We also appreciated how architecturally interesting the suite was with its exposed stonework. We found the location of the inn very convenient. There were lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance or just a short drive, and it was just a quick drive to the battlefield's Visitor Center. On our two-week road trip, we the Brafferton was our favorite stay.
