Hostel but with hotel services. Very good facilities, clean and comfortable enough. Highly recommended for a short break in Madrid if you don't want to spend a lot of money going into the city.

Está ubicado a unas cuadras de la estación de tren, lo que te viene bárbaro si te movés en transporte público. Las habitaciones son limpias, con una ducha que cumple y una cama cómoda. El estilo es un poco anticuado, la luz artificial no alcanza y no hay frigobar, así que puede incomodar si pensás quedarte varios días. Pero si buscás algo sencillo, bien ubicado y funcional, te puede servir.

Reaching the property with baggage
Regarding the hotel’s site it was so difficult for us as guests with our travel baggage to reach the property as the taxi driver found that ,the hotel street was closed and separated from the main road by barriers.

I lived in Madrid for 20 years and had never visited Getafe. And now, here I was staying in the "Hostal" Carlos III, in Getafe and my first impression upon arrival was "this is really nice". The receptionist was friendly. I went to my room. A very brown room. Brown curtains. Brown bed thingies. Brown artwork on the walls. You get it: brown. But did I say brown was bad? NO! And the room was big and spacious and the bed and pillows were oh so comfy. For me, there was nothing at all to do in Getafe that night, so I just stayed in my lovely comfortable room. The bathroom was really nice. The shower unit was huge although I never did work out how to turn on the rainfall showerhead. You activate the lift with the keycard for your room and this was the only thing that confused me, although I got it in the end. If you are going to Getafe, I'd definitely recommend.
