Discovery Parks - Gerroa

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay here in a Deluxe 2 Bedroom Cabin. The quiet and peaceful location is ideal, positioned on the edge of Crooked River and within easy walking distance of 7 mile Beach. Gerringong, Kiama and Berry are short drives away, offering lots to see and do. Our 8 year old and 5 year old boys had great fun driving the pedal cars (hired) around the Park. jumping on the bouncing pillow, exploring the beach and fishing. Our cabin was very comfortable and clean, providing everything we needed (especially enjoyed the shower!) and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

Last visited pre Covid but found it still to be a top spot! Strangely a lot of sites up for sale though? We stayed in a mate's van on a quiet weekend with fairly poor weather which may have kept a few away? But an easy stroll across to Gerroa Beach and 7 Mile Beach as well. The amenities were clean & neat but would not like to visit at Xmas or other busy periods? A nice pool for the kids and pedal carts for hire plus a bounce area keep them busy and all in all a good caravan park. Maybe the fees are getting hard in these strange times? But will be back for certain.

Excellent accommodation indeed. We stayed in Deluxe 2 Bedroom Spa Cabin. Two aircons and ceiling fans made the air fresh. Proper size fridge, oven, stove, microwave. DVD player and TV (another in master bedroom). Proper table and chairs at veranda as well as in living room. Electric BBQ at veranda, sink and tap there too. Spa is marvellous. Short walk to the beach. Jumping pillow for kids (in the kids playground). Quiet park between 10PM and 7AM. Cabin was clean and well prepared for our check in, thanks. Effficient and friendly staff, thanks. We will come here again!

Booked a cabin with 2 bathrooms. I thought that sounded pretty good. My daughter put her kids in the bath and the tap came off the wall and we couldn't turn the water off. The other shower had no pressure. So after getting it repaired, they said they'd be back to use the wet vac in the 2nd bedroom which had flooded the carpet. They never did. My daughter couldn't stay there with her kids so left. There was no internet reception at all. The front door of the cabin is a distance from the car parking area.

We stayed in a motel room, it was very clean and the bed was comfy. They have a kiosk that was open during our stay from 9 am to 1 pm. The pool is not heated but my little one still went swimming due to the heat. My 7 year old enjoyed the kid activities. They also held a kids disco and picnic by the water for families. Overall it was a nice 3 night getaway. Staffing were very attentive and friendly. Make sure you try the Fisherman's club which isnt too far from the caravan park, beautiful view and food.

We had a cabin at the end of a row, car space was bit small but was quiet enough. Cabin obviously been renovated recently, it was very clean & pleasant. Bedrooms very small, almost Tokyo standard, but bed comfortable. Wifi may need upgrading !!

Cabin was super clean, spacious and beds were comfy, good location…. However there were so many ‘small’ things that added up to a poor experience (wifi does not work at all and no phone reception, all channel 7’s didn’t work on tv so couldn’t watch a game of AFL, one cheap 3 seater couch for 4 people, 95% of the park is very old residential caravans, playground is tiny and only suits toddlers, jumping pillow was not available, road construction in park opening, pool does not look like photos and in a terrible location, not a staff member in sight… could go on). Basically if you just want a place to rest your head it’s fine but don’t expect a holiday park experience that you get elsewhere for basically the same price.

We booked for 8 nights unit 4 and 5 to celebrate my birthday with my sister it cost $2000. The tv in the rooms doesn't work when I complained after the first night 14th Feb 2023 the antenae guy stated the trees behind the building are obstructing the tv reception. So folks if you bring your iPad don't expect the FREE WIFI to supplement as it's non existent. So we decided as there was no tv to watch, No Wi-Fi to use our iPad s, and we are not in walking distance to entertainment .,we left. , all I got from management ion departure Sunday 19th, thanks for emailing the CEO , but a blank look when I asked why aren't the trees maintained , an d why did u not mention no Wi-Fi no tv reception on your booking site. I know some folks make there own entertainment at night ,to pass the time , If a place charges $2000 for eight nights , one expects the basics . The cleaners/ maintenance are checking the units at 10am on departure with their clip boards,but don't give a toss about the equipment working . My advise keep driving pass, as at 930pm friday night a bus load of 18 years old arrive to spend days learning to surf , so they walk up the hill to get a signal on their phones, so one can hear all their conversations ., I can have this experience on a train for $2.50
