Quality Inn & Suites

We stayed at Quality Inn & Suites in Georgetown, South Carolina the first week of July 2025. Upon check-in, I requested housekeeping every day as we'd be there 6 days. Once in room 154, I checked the bathroom and the bath tub had paint peeling and my 5 year old cut his ankle on it. The shower head was rusted. Both these things I informed front desk of on the first day. (There were mold spots on the ceiling of the bathroom) Housekeeping never showed up. I went to front desk every day asking for housekeeping and having to get towels, cloths,etc because we needed them. The day we were checking out, while we were packing up, they knocked. I went to the front desk multiple times and nothing was ever fixed, nor was I ever offered to be moved. I had to go twice and get new room cards because they didn’t work anymore. Still haven't gotten deposit back and waiting on a call from a manager I doubt will ever come.

I rarely write reviews, but my recent stay at the Quality Inn left me no choice. This property is in a shocking state of disrepair. Our room had roaches, visible cobwebs in corners, chipped paint on the walls, and a water pucker hanging from the ceiling like a warning sign. The entire space felt neglected and uncared for — the kind of place where it’s clear ownership hasn’t invested a dime in years. I spoke with the front desk clerk, who was pleasant and professional, but let’s be real: a smile can’t fix a crumbling facility. Nothing was resolved, and frankly, I didn’t expect it to be. To whoever manages this location: please don’t bother replying with a canned apology and a “we’re looking into this” comment. This isn’t about optics. It’s about safety, cleanliness, and basic hospitality — all of which are missing here. Unless you're tearing it down to rebuild or putting real money into restoring it, no one should be staying here. You can’t slap the word “Quality” on a sign and call it a day. This place is an embarrassment to the brand and a warning to travelers. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We had a two night stay. Efficient check in, our room was clean and everything worked, and the maintenance team even refreshed all of the hair dryers at the hotel during our stay. Breakfast looked terrific, too. Can’t pass up those waffles! Nice pool, as well. All in all, a good value, and a great team at this property.

Its Georgetown #1 they make you pay $100 deposit that isnt pending it is actually taken and refunded 2 to 3 days after you check out. #2 Paper thin between rooms. You can heard everything that is said in the other room. No privacy.

Front entrance garden needs repair. My room was nice and clean, but it faced the adjacent super gas station with loud engines, people shouting, and some honking during the night. At about 6AM four guests next door pulled chairs onto the balcony to drink coffee, smoke cigarettes, and talk loudly. I did not enjoy this section of this hotel. Breakfast was very good and included my favorite: make your own waffles. Overnight price of approx. $100 was great, and the location is 5 minutes from the Georgetown Hospital.

The property was unkept, paint peeling on door and in the room. Bathroom needs updating. Very noisy outside the room.
