We spent 2 nights in this hotel on our way to Italy. We chose this hotel because of a very good offer. We knew that we would get the most basic room category and didn't expect too much. When we arrived in the afternoon we were lucky to get a parking space. The employee at check-in was visibly annoyed and made us wait for several minutes. When we asked if we could finally check in, the staff reacted very irritably. As it turned out, the employee was absolutely at his limit - which we understood and the situation quickly calmed down. The room on the 3rd floor was big enough, but was right on the main road. A quiet night was only possible with the window closed. In addition, the room already showed clear signs of wear on the furniture and walls, which shouldn't be the case. The bathroom was very small, and the shower room was only suitable for people up to 170cm tall due to the sloping roof. The pool and sauna area looked great in the photos - in reality the indoor pool is very small and the sauna, steam bath and shower area are in a very small space. These areas are all too small for the size of the hotel! The only bright spot is the outdoor area, although this is also borderline for the size of the hotel - but very nicely done. The breakfast buffet is OK. There are fresh egg dishes and a good selection of cold cuts. Unfortunately there is only one coffee machine, which was very busy. As early as 9:30 a.m. the staff had great difficulty providing enough quark, rolls, etc. - due to the many tables that had to be cleared, there was simply not enough time. Here again there were some irritable discussions between guests and the staff, who mostly spoke poor German. We ate dinner outside, but then went to the hotel bar. The drinks and service were very good, but the bar area was very poorly attended. Perhaps the impersonal atmosphere and the very bright lighting contributed to the fact that few guests were seen. Conclusion: for us, the hotel lacks a personal touch and a certain passion for hospitality. It seems to be all about quantity, and this is mainly at the expense of the staff, who, despite being clearly overworked, try very hard. We never felt a comfortable atmosphere!
