We stopped in for the night to break up our drive. The building was incredible, an old style pub and restaurant in front and very modern guest rooms behind. The food was terrific and the service was wonderful. The pub was just busy but lots of room for sitting. Obviously a nice spot for the neighbours to meet up. Very welcoming!

The Garrandarragh Inn was located in a perfectly beautiful and peaceful rustic setting. Our open-air balcony facing out upon the greenery was quite enjoyable. Located in the small village of Mullinavat, the hotel was a short 15 minutes to Waterford. We had easy access to the many attractions of both Waterford and surrounds while avoiding the hassles of staying amongst the hordes of other tourists. While the property was charming, it clearly needed a bit more loving care, maintenance, repairs, cleaning and attention. Sometimes it is just the small things that make a huge difference. For example, it should not have been necessary for us to have made a special request for our balcony to be swept of leaves, etc. or for the bird residue/droppings to be cleaned from the wooden outdoor furniture. Dark staircases without bulbs replaced could be the cause of unnecessary injuries. The on-site restaurant and bar were wonderful and reviewed separately. All-in-all our stay at The Garrandarragh Inn was delightful and we would gladly return.

This place is by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at comparing it to the hotels we stayed at in Dublin and Killarney, Very quaint, serene, relaxing atmosphere, and just beautiful all around. Very friendly staff and accommodating. We will be coming back here again.

Charming little place with alot of Irish character. Only drawback is it's kind of in the middle of no where. Staff was very nice, and breakfast was very good (and reasonable) at their restaurant. Nice little pub as well.

Do not be deceived by the external appearance of this rustic hotel the room we were allowed was fully renovated, spacious and beautifully presented and furnished- comfortable bed.

.....but although the whole place looked rather more "tired" than in the photos and other tripadvisor reviews, the room was clean and comfortable and the food very nice. There was a problem with the shower which we reported which was one of those things, and hopefuly now repaired but what left a bad taste (pardon the pun) was that this place was not a "bed and breakfast deal" as we thought. We were told that breakfast is served in the bar and we enjoyed it very much but then told we were to be charged an extra 14 euros each which we were not expecting and the waitress let it go. We were then called later in the day and the caller demanded we pay. So whereas I was intending to leave an entirely positive review - and for what was an excellent breakfast - it left us thinking we would not return again albeit because the explanation when we booked and when we arrived was not at all clear. What a shame.
