The Garrandarragh Inn

Really nice place. Plenty of free parking. The room is very nice. 2 comfortable beds, hot shower, and string secure wifi. Check in and check out fast and easy. We did not purchase breakfast when we booked the room so can't comment on that. Ate dinner there both nights. The food is excellent. As good as any we have eaten in 3 weeks in Ireland. Quiet and peaceful We would stay here again.

Such a quaint Inn and the renovations in the bathroom are lovely, heating flooring and extremely spacious. However the staff were outstanding. The friendliness and “how can I help” attitude where nothings a problem. Good food, fast service again outstanding experience.

We stayed here last year when we walked the Suir. This time, after walking the Barrow Way, there was no question but that we would detour to stay here again. We were checked in by the very friendly and helpful receptionist. She brought us up to our room and ensured everything was ship-shape. There is a lift. The room was - again - 4-star international hotel standard, big, with a large table and two comfortable chairs. The AC is modern, effective - and almost silent. Six USB ports. Very good WiFi. The modern bathroom, which has underfloor heating, was top class. Great shower. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Every fitting is to a very high standard. We had a comfortable night's sleep. No traffic noise, as the rooms are to the rear. We had dinner in the attached restaurant. Pub/restaurant fare. Good range of dishes on the menu, not just the usual burgers. The menu seemed wider than we remembered from last year. We had delicious starters (a chowder and a prawn dish) and then mains of seafood linguine and of Chicken curry. The linguine dish was really disappointing. But the waitress was excellent and sorted it immediately. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. The scrambled egg less so. Very good coffee. Our overall sense was that the kitchen wasn’t up to the same high standard as last time. But the staff are first class.

This was one of our favorite places to stay while on our honeymoon in Ireland. I cannot remember the gals name (think it was Marita - blonde curly hair) who worked the bar, but she has the sweetest friendliest soul. Our room was very nice and clean. The fresh spring water was delicious. Our breakfast and dinner were amazing. The area is extremely clean and peaceful. It was a great place to stay to rest and recharge before hitting the big city. My husband and I have not stopped raving about our stay here. Highly recommend The Garrandarragh Inn.

If you want something different from a busy hotel this is the place for you. From the moment we checked until we checked out we had the best experience. Richard showed us around our beautiful room when we arrived, the decor was just fabulous with a beautiful modern bathroom with underfloor heating, Aircon and streaming services on the TV. The beds were so comfortable. The food was just fantastic we ate here both nights and the breakfast was so good. Thank you so much to Richard and the girls for the best stay, the only downside was that we didn't stay longer. We will definitely be back.

Six USB ports. Very good WiFi. We also had a terrace. The bathroom, which has underfloor heating, was top class. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We had a comfortable night's sleep. All ten rooms were occupied the night we were there. While soundproofing between rooms is not 100%, it was all quiet between 22:30 and 08:00. No traffic noise, as the rooms are to the rear. The full Irish breakfast was the best I’ve had. Very good coffee too. We had dinner in the attached restaurant. Pub/restaurant fare. Good range of dishes on the menu, not just the usual burgers. Very nicely presented. We had delicious starters and then mains of Fish & Chips and of Chicken Curry. Both were absolutely excellent. The chips were really good! Excellent service here too. We will definitely stay, and eat, here again.

A traditional old Irish pub where you will be made so welcome by the staff, owner and the local people, Complements to the bar staff and restaurant staff excellent food (compliments to the chef ) Rooms are so comfortable and modern and tastefully decorated (from underfloor heating to air conditioner) You have everything you need in your room It was so quite at night,best sleep I have had Great Guinness We stayed for 3 nights House keeping always making sure you had everything you need to make your stay comfortable As I said all staff excellent but thank you especially to Megan

We stayed here two nights. It is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth it. Our room at the Inn was very comfortable with a modern bath. The Inn's bar and restaurant were the real experience. The bar dates back to the early 1600's, as does the dining area. The food was exceptional and servings plentiful. But the best part was the staff. The were friendly and could not do enough for you. My wife could not finish her dinner one evening and at her request, kept it overnight and warmed for her for her breakfast the next day. Don't know if we will make it back to Ireland, but if we do, we will make it back to this Inn and their Rising Sun Pub.
