Great people, very clean, top notch!! Clean inside and out. Great bed and pillows... would recommend to anyone that wants a safe clean place to lay your head...

We’ve stayed at the Microtel in Gardendale many times over the years, and it’s been our go-to spot whenever we’re in the area. In fact, we’ve stayed twice in the past four weeks—and the experience remains consistently excellent! The location is super convenient, and the rooms are always clean, quiet, and comfortable. We love their deluxe continental breakfast—there’s a great variety, and the selection of hot tea bags is a thoughtful touch we really appreciate. Wi-Fi is strong and reliable, which makes a big difference for us. We didn’t use the pool this time around, but it’s a nice amenity to have available. What really makes this place stand out is the amazing staff. Huge thanks to Jennifer Q for her outstanding customer service—friendly, attentive, and welcoming every time. Also want to recognize Jennifer D and Ms. Vernora for keeping the breakfast area so clean and well-stocked every morning. This hotel is a great value, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Welcoming & Reassuring This hotel is both budget and kid friendly. We came to Birmingham for a doctors visit, and chose this hotel because it has a close proximity to the interstate. I have two special needs children, and my youngest was having a hard time understanding why he could not go swimming. He expresses his frustrations with screaming, and I was so scared we was going to get kicked out; however, it was the exact opposite of that. The lady at the front desk reassured me that she understood, and we were okay. There were some other guests that offered assistance, and were very caring in checking on us. As a single mother this place made me feel like I was doing things right... and anytime we visit Birmingham we will stay here!

Rooms were much more outdated than the pictures display including rusted items in the bathroom. Staff was friendly at least

Excellence for a fair price Hot breakfast would be nice on weekends. Heating sandwiches is ok but not the same. But my stay was pleasant. Staff was nice and my stay was very comfortable

The tv, bathroom, etc are old and outdated. Needs renovating. My room was not cleaned after being gone all date. The card reader to enter the back door didn’t work, the door was left propped open too long and had to be reported. The front desk staff was not aware itfv
