Hampton Inn & Suites Gainesville

We are currently still on this hotel and intend to stay until tomorrow. I selected this hotel due to its proximity to the concert venue we will be attending tonight. I made the reservation via Hilton Honors and explicitly requested a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, the room has a strong smell of smoke and is also excessively moldy, causing me to experience adverse health effects, including coughing and breathing difficulties. I requested a room change, but the front desk informed me that an alternative room would only be available at noon, as housekeeping commences at 10. I found this explanation unconvincing, particularly after observing the housekeeping staff cleaning rooms on our floor. Presently, we are waiting in the lobby with our luggages. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The elevator area is also notably untidy, and the hotel's exterior is marred by bird droppings. Furthermore, the receptionist's demeanor was unfriendly and discourteous. To compound the issue, my call to Hilton Honors yielded no assistance or whatsoever. Very disappointing!

Wasn't told that the fitness room was closed due to renovations. Had I been told that I wouldn't have stayed there. Overall the stay was fine.

Modern hotel, aesthetically, beautiful.

This property is going under a renovation, once finished it will be a good stopping point in Gainsville. Very large and clean rooms, good staff and a very good breakfast.

Clean and comfortable room. Clean and comfortable room. We slept very well. Only problem was that the shower would not stay hot. Breakfast was usual offerings, all good. Coffee was very good.

It was not great did not sleep because you can hear it he people upstairs
