Fantasy Island Beach Resort and Marina - All Inclusive

An overrated hotel with abandoned, unclean facilities and rooms. The staff is unfriendly, and every request requires a questionnaire. There are no food options other than what the hotel offers, and it's not the best. The tours offered are broken promises; they only take you to stores to buy things and nothing else.

We had an awesome stay at this hotel last week! The private beach was definitely the highlight beautiful, quiet, no vendors or crowds, just perfect for relaxing. The restaurant was recently renovated, nicely decorated, and the food was really good. Our room was clean and super spacious, with two king beds, a balcony, and an amazing ocean view. Our kids had a blast in the children’s pool and loved feeding the fish off the dock. We also really enjoyed the Garifuna dance show on Saturday. Overall, a great trip and an unforgettable family vacation. Would totally recommend!

Fantasy Island Roatán Resort Review I recently stayed at Fantasy Island Resort in Roatán, and while the location is beautiful and the overall atmosphere has potential, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The biggest letdown was the service at the front desk and main dining area—both were consistently inattentive and not particularly welcoming. It often felt like getting basic assistance was a chore. The food itself was mediocre at best. It wasn’t terrible, but certainly not a highlight of the trip. There’s definitely room to step things up in terms of flavor and variety. That said, I want to give credit where it’s due—the waitstaff in the snack bar area were awesome. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful, they were a bright spot during the stay and really stood out compared to the rest of the service experience.

Me and my husband stayed at Fantasy Island for 10 days. It is one of the BEST beaches we have visited so far. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the food and loved waking up to the beautiful beach. We completely recommend this resort.

We had an amazing trip with Yas in Roatan in February 2025 with our group from the Indian Point Dive Center from Branson, MO. I don’t personally scuba dive but my fiancé does. My fiancé had endless scuba experiences both by shore and by dive boat with amazing pictures and videos. Minor & Junior were amazing with scuba divers. I enjoyed the gorgeous beach of Fantasy Island. We snorkled and relaxed daily in the beautiful private island. Gina & Kerline did an amazing job at keeping me hydrated behind the bar. The group who runs the activities during the day and the shows at night were out standing. High energy, very friendly, and impressive night life. It is a beautiful island and there are nearby attractions of sloths & monkeys.

We recently stayed at Fantasy Island Resort and had a mixed experience overall. Upon arrival at the ferry port, the transportation pickup was confusing. There was no clear signage, and there was some shouting involved before a driver arrived after we made a phone call. This set a slightly disorganized tone that carried throughout parts of our stay. The resort itself shows signs of deferred maintenance. The rooms were old and dated, and our first room had a strong musty smell coming from the bathroom and bedroom area. To their credit, when we requested a change, the staff did accommodate us with a new room, which was better but still reflected the resort’s need for upgrades. Staff interactions were inconsistent. While some employees were polite and helpful, not all staff members were friendly — it almost felt at times like we were being treated differently, possibly mistaken for locals, though we aren’t certain why. On the positive side, the beds were large and very comfortable, which made a big difference for getting good rest. The resort offers jet skis and other activities, which we enjoyed. The food and drinks throughout the stay were decent — not outstanding, but certainly adequate for a relaxed vacation setting. Tour with David Jones was fantastic! The nice cool atmosphere (cool breezes) was second to none! In summary, Fantasy Island Resort has potential but needs significant improvements in maintenance, organization, and customer service consistency to live up to expectations. With a few upgrades, it could be a much better experience.
