"The Hotel and Room - The hotel is located perfectly away from the inner city and closer to one of the beaches, which I appreciated. Cosmetically, the hotel is well-manicured and secure. They clean the hotel grounds, trim the bushes, and paint the scuffs every day like they do at Disneyland (impressive). Secondly, I was upgraded to a larger room with a kitchen, washer, and dryer inside the room at no cost because the hotel was crowded. (That has nothing to do with the review.) The room was very clean and up to my standards. The hotel has day and night security guards." "The Staff - I reached out to the hotel a few weeks before I arrived in Freetown concerning transportation to the hotel, and the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. They provided transportation from the Sea-coach Docks. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive to my schedule, and regardless of what time I left, the room was pristine clean when I got back. The front desk staff and the managing partner or owner were all very friendly and went above and beyond to address any questions I had." "The Pool - Loved the pool. I was there every single day, basking in the sun. The pool boy was there every single day cleaning the pool. It’s the closest thing to an infinity pool." "Restaurant - Now, this I think can be improved a little. Not so much the restaurant itself, but the menu. The whole menu was western food (burgers, pizza, etc.). When you are in Sierra Leone, you might want some of the local staple food. Have some local dishes on the menu as well for those of us who are curious about the local cuisines.""

On the flip side: several guests note that some rooms and common areas are showing signs of wear, with issues like dampness, dated décor or maintenance lags. Some mention that value for money is somewhat below expectations when compared to the price point. Overall: A good choice for travellers seeking comfort, location and service in Freetown, particularly if access to the beach and a reputable brand matter. If you’re very particular about top‑tier condition in every room, you may want to check recent guest photos or request a recently refurbished room."

"The customer service here is miles apart from the rest. It is the 5th or 6th hotel that I have stayed in inside the capital city Freetown since 2018. I was actually visiting to write a review for a different audience but was impressed enough to leave a review here too. To Mr KHALID, the hotel manager! You and your staff make the place what it is, from great personable service to a few ‘extras’ around when called upon to do so such as arranging express transportation within Freetown. It was nice to meet Siddiki and Janet. Must give special mention to the staff in the kitchen who called my room one morning when late for breakfast before they packed it all away and they can help you choose a sunny spot on the terrace too. It is a boutique hotel, not a large noisy place as in bigger hotels - you get a clean and quiet lobby area, a reasonable breakfast selection and delicious omelettes, very nicely-appointed rooms and washrooms and the nearby LAGOONDA nightclub is thrown in for free every club night (entry usually $20), as they’re connected. What’s not to love? I have also been to the LAGOONDA restaurant and ordered grilled fish which was ace - yum! - but that will be another review. What would I like to see change? - to have an area reserved for smoking away from the pool edge to give equal access to non-smokers - I once observed another guest who was sunbathing leave the pool area when another guest started smoking close to them…hey, let’s face it, if it was not possible to avoid smokers it could limit the enjoyment by all guests of the pool area and negatively impact the holiday mood."

"Great hotel was good and the service was amazing. The pool was lovely, and the staff Agnes, Fatmata & Haja were very helpful. They all deserve a treat for their hard work, respect and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place, the views of Freetown are amazing! "

They helped make her visit special and they were communicative throughout the process. She had only good things to say about her experience staying there as well."
