We stayed here for 3 nights. Perfect location, perfect stay. Breakfast was great. Lunch was available but at the time of our stay dinner wasn’t available. However town is super close by and there are ample restaurants to choose from. Staff are super friendly and helpful. There are a couple of swimming pools that the guests can use. The villas are spacious, clean and have everything you need. We would 100% recommend staying here and we would definitely return!

This is an exceptional property, we were disappointed we were only booked for 1 night! The property was warm (we visited in winter) the facilities, quality, and decor was fabulous. The views over the lake and mountains were incredible. Esme and her team were welcoming and helpful with good communication throughout the booking and checkin process. The apartment was so welcoming and cosy, we decided not to eat out. Esme provided a recommendation for the local Italian restaurant that we could order online and they would deliver - food was excellent. The beds and baths were so inviting that we couldn't wait to get into them. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a bit of luxury for a very affordable price.

The service and attention to detail were amazing. Rooms seem new. Finishings are all high quality. Multi-plugs provided in the room. Even the bathwash was high quality. They really strive to provide a luxurious experience. We enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to be informed upfront that we would have a two-level apartment. Having stairs with kids was a bit inconvenient. If I had known, I would have requested a one level apartment or ground floor apartment. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay. The service was truly exceptional! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Thank you!!

Arrived for a two day stay and the place resembled a building site. Whilst the staff were very very helpful the accommodation was let down by the poor upkeep. Our air conditioning did not work, we had builders working below the room and following an accident found the hotel had no first aid box or accident book. We had some fantastic a comodation on out tour of South Africa….thi s was not one of them ☹️

We had the most amazing 4 days. Lermitage is pet friendly. We brought our toy poodle and he was treated like royalty. Even got his own bed / throne. Staff went out of their way to accommodate my fur baby. Food was excellent, the best sirloin steak I have had in years. Breakfast perfect. And the bed was sooo comfortable. Situated in a quiet estate with stunning views. This is a must when visiting franschhoek

Beautiful venue. Our rooms were clean and well equipped. We struggled with the electric light switched. Would suggest to have a normal light switch for the bathroom at night … Breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. Overall, very nice.
