"Excellent value for money as long as your expectation is managed. The hotel is a bit old but place is kept clean and tidy. The housekeeping robot delivering essential item such as toiletries etc is a nice touch. The Executive Lounge is closed which is a shame as we stay on this top floor and would have appreciated breakfast with a view! Instead I would suggest skip the hotel breakfast and go to explore with local eateries. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is an excellent venue for local cuisine!"

The location of the hotel was around 10 mins from the nearest metro Beijiao Park.
Our stay coincided with Mother's Day. On the first day, the breakfast area was overwhelmed with many people waiting for tables and insufficient food. All food were gone by 9:00am even though breakfast was supposed to be served until 10:00am. Breakfast next day was much better - there was food and no crowds! See attached photos."

"The room is really big and spacious, with windows. It looks like it has been renovated recently. It is clean and sanitary. It has a complete set of WIFI, TV, power bank, etc. There are many late-night snack stalls around. I tried it at night and it was pretty good. Moreover, there is a shopping mall across the road from the intersection, and there is also a bus stop at the intersection, so traveling is quite convenient. The hotel staff are also very polite. This stay was a good experience. I will come again next time!"

"I made an impromptu trip to Foshan for a day and booked the last guest room of the day. The location of the B&B is very good. There is a large chimney wrapped in bougainvillea in the small square at the entrance. Many people check in. The guest rooms are on the second floor, which is quiet in the bustle. The design is also good and has a whole There is a large tatami bay window. When it rains, I can just drink tea by the window and relax, or drink coffee in the public area on the first floor and watch the tourists. It is very leisurely and convenient to experience. The neighbor girl at the front desk is quick and talkative but not noisy. She is very cute and friendly. Nanfeng Ancient Zao is not a big place and it is very relaxing to stroll around slowly. It is a place worth visiting again."

"Going to Foshan to see the furniture, a family of three, the child is old, unwilling to open two rooms, need a place where the family can be together. I accidentally found this wooden house in the secret meeting in the Xijiao Mountain Scenic Area. I felt far more than expected. The super invincible warm and loving housekeeper aunt. The wooden house with super emotional feeling was very stable for two nights. It was recommended with full marks."

CCYThe hotel is conveniently located above a subway station, with a large shopping mall downstairs. The beds were clean and the windows were well-insulated.
We booked a non-smoking room, but the air conditioner smelled of cigarette smoke, requiring the windows to be opened. The air conditioner and some corners of the room were dusty, which could be improved.
There's only one room card, which you have to insert to access the electricity. All appliances shut off when you leave the room, so any food in the refrigerator might spoil.
For an apartment, the value is reasonable.

ZZaney44I have stayed here before and it was wonderful. I wanted to say the same again, but I just can't. The rooms were great. We had two 4-person rooms. However, since my last stay, the smell of smoke seems to be quite strong. Despite paying for 4 people in a room , we only received two towels / 2 bottles of water per room each day.
Every time we approached the reception staff, ALL staff would make it obvious that they felt uncomfortable serving us because we spoke English. They would look at each other and then try to get the other staff member to serve us. I understand there is a language barrier, and it is difficult. However, a smile would go a long way to making people feel welcome, Once the reception staff got over their initial hesitation, they were helpful and kind. However, when you have to deal with people being hesitant to help you 2- 3 times a day, it makes you not want to be there. Some staff appear to have not been in the actual hotel rooms, so when you talk to them about some stuff, they appear to not know what you are talking about. On my last night there, I walked through the lobby next to reception. A man was vomiting in reception, his girlfriend holding a rubbish bin. It was gross. I was surprised the staff didn't do anything to help them or move them to a bathroom. The smell was strong. I walked through an hour later and the couple were gone but the bin and vomit sat in in the middle of everyone's walking path, and there didn't seem to be a hurry to clean it up. I really wanted to love this hotel again, but I just didn't. Breakfast was okay. I just feel they should have some sort of warmer for some foods because it goes cold quickly.

NNeelaThis hotel is truly amazing—far exceeding my expectations. It’s conveniently located, just a short distance from Guangzhou south train station, as well as Linyue xi and Linyue dong metro station.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with an incredibly warm welcome. The staff even checked in to ask if I was hungry, offering me free food right away—a thoughtful touch I rarely encounter, especially in a hotel without this star ratings. The service here was exceptional all around: the hotel owner was incredibly kind and went out of her way to assist me with all my needs.
The ambiance is peaceful and inviting, making me feel like I was staying somewhere in Bali. The interiors are stunning, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast offered was absolutely fantastic—delicious, beautifully presented, and memorable. What’s more, the entrance design and overall layout give it a genuine homestay vibe, making me feel right at home.
The surrounding area only added to the charm: the neighborhood is calm and quiet, with nearby parks, and it’s quiet, calm, and truly tranquil. I loved that peaceful atmosphere.
Location-wise, it’s close to several shopping malls, including one I can’t quite recall the name of—something like Florence Mall, an Italian-style mall—and another huge Mall with lots of eateries around.
Beyond all that, the owner even provided pickup and drop-off services whenever I needed them, shuttling me between the metro station and the hotel (and vice versa).
In every aspect, this hotel won me over. I don’t think I’ll look for another hotel when I return to Guangzhou. All in all, it impressed me completely.

CCHI MUIOn 19 April, prior to check-out, I visited the front desk and explained that I was considering extending my stay for two more nights (19 to 21 April). I also mentioned that although I had originally planned to travel Guangzhou, I would prefer to remain in Foshan if I could stay in the same two rooms, including the upgraded room with the separate living space, as I had many items of luggage and did not want to relocate unnecessarily.
The front desk staff I spoke with said he would seek the manager’s approval. After a few minutes, he returned and confirmed that the rooms were available and that approval had been granted. He instructed me to go ahead with making the same room bookings online. I immediately followed his instructions, completed the bookings, and provided him with the new booking references for two nights for two rooms on the spot, which he confirmed without issue. The full process, including the collection of a security deposit from my credit card, took around 15 minutes and was handled efficiently. I was truly grateful for his support at that time.
Unfortunately, the situation took a distressing turn on 20 April. That afternoon, while I was en route to Guangzhou by car, I received a call from the same front desk staff, whose tone was abrupt and extremely rude. Without offering any reasonable explanation, he demanded that I cancel my confirmed bookings, which he had previously accepted in person. I explained to him several times that I was driving from Foshan to Guangzhou at the time, that all my luggage remained in the hotel, and that it was not possible for me to take any immediate action. I even asked whether I could pay an additional fee if there was an issue with the upgraded room, but he remained confrontational and dismissive throughout the call.
His aggressive and unreasonable behaviour was shocking and unacceptable. The phone conversation lasted nearly ten minutes and became increasingly agitating. I emphasised that I was on the road and that his manner was causing serious disruption. The call left me extremely distressed and disoriented — and shortly after, my car was involved in a minor traffic accident. While I take responsibility for my own actions, I must also express how inappropriate and harmful the staff member’s handling of the matter was, especially considering that this all stemmed from a booking that had already been confirmed the previous day.

GGuest UserFoshan Travels: when it comes to Foshan or Guangzhou, most people only know Chimelong paradise. However, there is an oasis known as Changlu Holiday Resort 长鹿度假村. Its lesser known and more catered to locals. Advised to come on weekends, once you check in, literally no need to go out liaoz!!
We came during the weekdays and low season, hence it was easier to get an upgrade and no queues for rides. On weekends, however, they have a night parade and activity. Lots of shows, street shopping, food and performances.
Back to the resort. I booked via trip.com. Rooms starts from only $99 per room! Not per person. PER ROOM And includes ALOT!
1. Choice of room. We had initially booked the cave room at $200 per night with tickets for 2 kids. However, due to a natural inclement, we managed to get the underwater room upgrade! Both were great. The underwater room usually cost around $700! And a bigger one at approx $1000!!
Breakfast is included too. I would say not as good as the earlier hotels. But ok la…
2. Tickets to the zoo. You get multiple tickets if you book more than 1 night. Actually 1 day ticket is sufficient as the zoo isn’t very big and could be covered in 1 day. Zoo shows are not included. Regret watching but not expensive.
3. Discount tickets to the circus. Top up about $8 per person. Discount tickets to snow world. As we had experienced similar at the previous hotel, we skipped this. Snow world is another $6 per person.
4. Thrilling amusement rides. Not included but they are not expensive too. Pay by coin credits and they offered buy 1 get 1 value. Works out each ride to be less than $2-$3 a ride only.
5. Affordable and good food offerings. Usually theme parks tend to be expensive. But it’s affordable here. We went to town and realized even cheaper.
6. Unlimited hot spring pools to soak.
7. Beautiful swimming pool (the blue oasis in the pictures is the pool)
8. Steam and sauna access.
And many more!! They have a total of 11 interactive zones here. When people feedback 2day1 night is not enough I kind of thought I might have time to go to town.. well… 3 days 2 night in the resort and we still find it insufficient too. 😅😅😅
With the beautiful underwater room, we spent time going in and out of the room for rest and pool soak multiple times too..
If you ask me which room type is the best, get the cave rooms as they are in the heart of the resort. Easiest to get around.

Ms Yuan is a very hands on GM of the hotel. When I had some questions for the counter staff, she personally helped the staff to explain further to assure that I get my concerns addressed. She did that respectfully and did not make her staff feel inadequate. I can see that her staff respected her very much.
Ms Yuan, after knowing I am a senior travelling alone, extended to me her WeChat contact so I can get her help in times of need. I did trouble her during my journey in Foshan, and beyond. She even helped me when I was stuck at the immigration of Foshan high speed rail. Thereafter, she arranged the delivery of a parcel from Foshan to Beijing and then be brought back to my home country Singapore.
I cannot thank Ms Yuan enough for extending her kindness way beyond her job scope to a fellow human in times of need and distress.
