Hotels in Ancestral Temple/Lingnan Tiandi, Foshan

I often eat at this hotel's buffet lunch, and it's delicious. So, this time, when traveling with friends and kids, we chose to stay here. Since it was a vacation, we mostly stayed at the hotel, so after an overall assessment, we picked this place. First, the hotel's environment is genuinely good. It's right next to Lingnan Tiandi, and the Ancestral Temple is right in front of you. The location is truly excellent, and the subway is also nearby. Second, the hotel facilities are decent and not old. We spent an hour in the gym, and there were quite a few pieces of equipment. Third, the hotel breakfast is very rich, though it gets crowded, so you have to look for a table. Otherwise, it's good. Also, the hotel rooms are fairly clean, but there's no separate shower; you have to stand in the bathtub, which is a bit inconvenient. Everything else was fine. The fan was quite noisy at night and affected my sleep. Finally, what I'm most unhappy about is the service. I arrived at the hotel at 2:30 PM. There were only a few people, and three desks were handling check-ins. I waited for a full half-hour, only to be told my room wasn't ready. Are you kidding me? Check-in is at 2 PM. My friend arrived at 2 PM and had already checked in, and she told them we were together. I also informed Ctrip in advance that we were together and requested rooms as close as possible. Then, an hour later, they told me the room hadn't been cleaned yet and asked me to wait. I was very unhappy and asked the front desk attendant to call her manager. The attendant went in and came out, then said they could arrange a room for me, but it wouldn't be on the same floor. This made me even angrier, so I insisted on speaking to the manager. The manager finally arrived late and told me that because it was the weekend, they were busy, and that's why the room wasn't ready. Hearing this made me even more annoyed. What's the point of telling me that? I want a solution. Then, after seeing Ctrip call me, she said she had arranged a room on the same floor, just a bit further away. I then asked if it was an upgrade because when I booked, it said upgrades were possible if rooms were available. My friend, who had the same room type, was upgraded to a king-size bed, while I had twin beds. The manager said there were no upgrade options for twin rooms and that to upgrade, I'd have to switch to a king bed. If there's no upgrade for twin rooms, then why do you state that upgrades are possible? But I really didn't have the energy to argue with her. I'm here to enjoy myself, not to get angry, so I just let it go. I had almost forgotten about all of this until just now, after checking out and sitting in the car home. My friend messaged me saying the hotel felt very apologetic for not upgrading me and had given her a small gift for me. I suddenly found it quite funny. You didn't give it to me when I checked out, but after I left, you gave it to my friend to pass on? What's the meaning of that? My friend and I rarely see each other once a year; do we have to meet up again specially for this? If you're truly apologetic, why didn't you bring it to me directly when I stayed for so long? I'm genuinely speechless with your hotel's service and arrangements. I'm not after your small gift; I'm just speechless at how you handled it. You did the work, you showed your intent, but you failed to make the guest feel it.

I've stayed at Home Inn many times, and its proximity to Zumiao subway station makes getting around very convenient. There are also places like McDonald's and Luckin Coffee right downstairs. This stay, I was very satisfied with the room; it was well-equipped. The only minor flaw was the water pressure, which was a bit weak, but it wasn't a major issue and didn't impact my trip experience. The front desk staff were very friendly, thumbs up! 👍🏻

Overall, my experience at the hotel was pretty good. The front desk staff were nice and efficient with check-in and check-out. They were also patient and helpful when I asked for directions and information, and responded fairly quickly to any requests. The air conditioning and hot water worked well, and the WiFi signal was stable. The bedding was clean, and I liked that I could choose between soft and firm pillows; I slept quite comfortably. The bathroom was well-cleaned, and the shower had good water pressure with hot water coming on quickly. The location is definitely the biggest highlight, making it convenient for dining and shopping. For the price in this area, I'm generally satisfied.

I really like Atour hotels; they're my go-to whenever I travel. For this holiday, I chose Guangzhou to visit the hometowns of Wong Fei-hung and Ip Man, and to see the lion dance performances. Staying at the Lingnan Tiandi Atour Hotel was a fantastic experience. The front desk staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the breakfast spread was excellent. A truly great experience overall.

On my 9th stay at the Swiss-Belhotel Hengan, I once again enjoyed their five-star service. We booked a two-night, three-day twin room, and when the hotel learned we were traveling with a child, they thoughtfully upgraded us to a business room free of charge. The room was spacious enough for our child to play happily, and they even provided kid's amenities. We were also touched that the hotel provided a capsule coffee machine, making it convenient to enjoy coffee in the room! For the past few years, whenever I have the chance, I love staying at this hotel right on my doorstep. It's conveniently located, has a beautiful environment, offers attentive service, and pays attention to details. The photo in figure 3, taken from the window in the room, turned out amazing! Definitely deserves a five-star rating! 👍👍👍

The location is super convenient; it's just a few dozen meters straight ahead from Metro Exit B. There are several malls downstairs with all kinds of food options. I highly recommend the afternoon tea set at 'Kailongque Ice Room' downstairs – it's a great deal, with generous portions and good flavor. However, 'Hong Dangdang Food Stall' downstairs isn't great; it's poor value for money and the taste is mediocre. The front desk is on the fourth floor. You need your card to access the guest rooms. If you order takeout, you have to go to the fourth floor first and have the front desk swipe the elevator for it to come up. Although, I noticed one elevator might not require this, but the other two definitely do. I booked a deluxe twin room. The balcony has a drying rack, which is handy for hanging clothes. There's a laundry room on the 17th floor with detergent, but I didn't use it. Breakfast is on the fourth floor, but the selection is a bit limited. It's also very convenient to grab breakfast downstairs. The room's fridge works great, but the shower pressure is just okay. Only one of the air conditioners is wall-mounted. The facilities are a bit old, but the service is decent. The only downside was that we arrived at 3:30 PM for check-in and still had to wait for our room. Given the high summer traffic, they should really have more staff for cleaning.

Coming to Foshan solo, choosing this apartment was such a smart move. The location is unbeatable – just a few steps from the subway, and you can walk directly to Lingnan Tiandi and Zumiao. After exploring the night market, it felt very safe walking back to the apartment. The room is spacious and meticulously clean, with all the necessary appliances like a washing machine and fridge, making it very comfortable for a single traveler. The soundproofing is good, so I slept soundly at night. The front desk was quick to respond, and communication was smooth whenever I had questions. Great value for money, definitely my top choice for solo travel.

The hotel facilities are relatively new, but the in-room voice assistant is quite useless. The hotel just opened this year and has a good location near Zumiao Temple. The hotel staff provide good service, always greeting guests. The laundry room isn't crowded, so you don't have to wait long to do your laundry. The breakfast selection is rich and tastes good; I ate there for two consecutive days and always found different dishes. AVOID the fruit market across from the hotel – the durian was very stale, and the owner was incredibly rude. They also blast music every night, which is very noisy. The Wangwang Restaurant diagonally across from the hotel is excellent; it's where the locals eat, and they have a morning tea service. I wouldn't recommend You Ji; the food is decent, but the wait is too long. I waited over an hour for lunch. Our driver even said that locals don't go there.

Booked a twin room with a friend for our trip to Foshan, and overall, I'm quite satisfied. The room had both soft and firm pillows available, which was a thoughtful touch. It was very quiet at night, so sleeping wasn't an issue. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet area, and the room was spotlessly clean. We also needed to have a quick meeting midway through our stay, and the hotel had a conference room we could use, which was very convenient. It's also close to the subway, making it easy to get around to all the attractions. It's a great choice for friends traveling together.

I had a wonderful stay at Ramada Encore Foshan. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, comfortable, and well organized. The hotel was clean, convenient, and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. A special thank you to Cindy at the front desk, who was exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. She helped me get extra water whenever I needed it and was always happy to provide information about the hotel and Foshan, including recommendations and helpful guidance around the city. Her friendly and professional attitude really made the stay more pleasant. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend Ramada Encore Foshan to anyone visiting Foshan. Excellent service, helpful staff, and a very comfortable stay!
