Hotels in Ancestral Temple/Lingnan Tiandi, Foshan

I chose this hotel for its location, and overall I'm very satisfied. After booking, the hotel called to ask about my room preferences and approximate arrival time. This is a rare service that I haven't encountered much in the hotels I've booked over the past few years. Upon arrival, I received a room upgrade, but due to the room type, it was on a lower floor facing the street. So, for sensitive sleepers, the noise from cars and the rumbling of the subway might affect their sleep. The hotel's breakfast was decent; I ate it for a few days, and it wasn't exactly the same each day, which was nice. In the evening, complimentary mung bean porridge and popcorn were available on the first floor. All the staff greeted guests. Room cleaning was acceptable, to a normal standard, though I wish the floor cleaning could be a bit better – I'm just overly sensitive about hair. The front desk staff were all very good, especially a young man named Ji Xing; he was very nice and accommodating. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Lingnan Tiandi, with plenty of dining, drinking, and shopping options nearby. However, be aware that the road in front of the hotel has railings. When exploring the area, make sure not to miss the crosswalk, otherwise, you'll have to walk quite a bit further.

The location is fantastic! Even though it's an 'apartment hotel,' the entire building belongs to them, and it's always buzzing with people. You need a key card to access the upper floors, and even the elevator feels incredibly secure.

I stayed at the Cordis for 5 days and got to experience many of the hotel's facilities and interacted with many of its staff. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Foshan cultural center. It's steps away from the Ancestral Temple and other cultural sites. Near the hotel are also many food options, dessert stalls, and malls that fit the western and Chinese taste. At the hotel, we saw many foreign as well local Chinese visitors. My mandarin is very limited and my experience is that the hotel staff was well-equipped with fluent English and Cantonese to serve my needs.  The front desk staff was phenomenal. As we entered, we were greeted warmly by Cheryl and Mandy at the front desk. I had some questions upon check in and both were very patient answering them even though the front desk area was busy. Cheryl offered us a room with a view of the Ancestral Temple which I really appreciated. They also offered additional information I did not know to ask to make my stay in Foshan much more enjoyable. After checking into the room, I found a small, non-urgent problem with the shower. When I went back downstairs to go out, Cheryl noticed me from afar and had a good guess I may have a problem with the room. After I explained the problem to her, she immediately called someone to address the issue right away. Later in the stay, we had some other questions for the front desk staff. Winnie and Johnny were also incredibly helpful and friendly to help when we had questions about breakfast packages and transportation.  The rooms are a bit smaller compared to other hotel rooms we had stayed in in China. However, the layout is very functional and design is well thought out. The balcony was a nice feature we really appreciated.  Finally, the breakfast buffet was wonderfully done. It had abundant amount of options in both Western and Chinese style foods. The quality of food is also good. The omelette and sausage were done well while the Chinese congee was delicious. We again saw many foreign and local Chinese guests at the restaurant and everyone seems to be enjoying the food like I was.

The hotel has a great overall vibe, and the common areas are clean and tidy. It's quiet throughout, not noisy at all. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around, and there are plenty of shops nearby. The room cleaning is meticulous, the bedding is clean and soft, the bathroom is dry and well-maintained, and the soundproofing is good. The front desk staff are patient, check-in was efficient, and the facilities are comprehensive. It offers great value for money and is definitely worth recommending.

Facilities: The fridge and microwave were both fully functional. Environment: Extremely convenient. It's located right downstairs from the Baidun City building, very close to the subway station. Across the street, there's a shopping mall and Lingnan Tiandi. The location is excellent. Service: The service was very responsive. The front desk replied immediately to all my messages.

I brought my kids to stay at this hotel, and when I booked it, I was really worried about a musty smell, as I saw many online reviews mentioning old facilities and mustiness. However, my kids loved their family room, especially the 'space room.' We paid an extra fee to upgrade, and I'm very grateful to Jessie at the front desk for giving us a great discount, making my kids' first Foshan trip this summer truly special. This room had absolutely none of the musty smell mentioned online; it seems like a newly renovated family room, smelling fresh and clean. My kids were thrilled the moment they walked in, almost not wanting to leave! The room included an astronaut puzzle, a tent, Ludo, and a slide, perfect for two adults and two children. The next day, we also tried the buffet breakfast, which was very rich and varied. We even encountered a large group during our stay, and Jessie thoughtfully advised us to dine during off-peak hours for a better experience, which allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the hotel's breakfast. What amazed me was that the restaurant even had a kids' playground 🎠, which really freed up my hands. The hotel management is very thoughtful in this regard! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, highly suitable for a family trip! If you have the budget, I highly recommend trying out that fantastic space-themed family room!!! Strongly recommended.

The beautiful pool view combined with the cool weather made for a very comfortable stay! The Chinese dim sum for breakfast was fresh, and they also offered laundry service. Mr. Bryan even arranged a great room for me to experience.

Loved my stay here! The lake-view room offered stunning views of Yayee Park and a distant glimpse of Foshan TV Tower. The room was spacious and bright, with smart controls that were easy to use. It was impeccably clean and tidy, and the hot water was plentiful and consistent. Plus, the minibar drinks were complimentary! The hotel is very thoughtful; on the 13th floor, next to the laundry room, there's a scenic corridor where you can relax and enjoy the view while waiting for your clothes. Breakfast was also high-quality, a great blend of Western and Chinese options. They even had local Foshan specialties like Chen Cun noodles and Lun Jiao cakes, alongside toast and salad. I didn't have time to try the gym or the infinity pool this time, but I'll definitely make sure to next visit. The front desk staff and the manager in black were incredibly genuine and attentive, patiently answering my questions with a smile. They even recommended Qixiangji, a local chicken restaurant, which turned out to be fantastic!
