Chimpundu Lodge

The best lodge in the area, everything is perfect, the staff is outstanding, Joseph in charge of the restaurant is superb and all staff is woderful, they are all time taking care of you. The site is perfect . I am gratefull to all because we have a great time.

Absolutely the best place we stayed in Uganda! Chimpundu Lodge was by far the highlight of all our accommodation in Uganda – we only wish we had booked an extra night. The staff could not have done more for us; from the moment we arrived, reception helped prepare us for our chimpanzee trek with great advice and the warmest smiles. The bar staff kept the drinks flowing (with two complimentary beers and wines each day) and were just as friendly. Dinner was incredible – fresh, delicious, with plenty of choice – if anything we were overfed! The lodge itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds where we spotted colobus and red-tailed monkeys right from our balcony. Our room was gorgeous, with a wrap-around balcony and a huge clawfoot bath I happily took advantage of. The location couldn’t be better – less than a 5-minute drive from the chimpanzee trekking area in Kibale Forest. Truly the best place we stayed in Uganda and one we would return to in a heartbeat. Also a note it was a little cooler in the evening when we visited and there was hot water bottles in the bed at night which was so lovely! Not actually needed due to the lovely covers on the bed but such a nice touch

We had a really enjoyable time at the Lodge. Joseph as just amazing and his service is par excellence . He really took great care of us and prepare a special masala tea, which was great. Tracy at check in was great and friendly service.She also was attentive and took good care of us. The lodge was great and food really good .Highly recommended

Superb customer service from the staff- we got spoiled. The room we had was more than what we could ask for and the best part was the massive bathroom with a tub!! We loved the balcony facing the jungle. We enjoyed our time just drinking our coffee and tea there. We got a couples massage and although it’s not what we are used to in the States, it was great! They cleaned our shoes after we did the swamp walk and went above and beyond in making sure that we are taken care of. It is actually here that we spent the morning of our 10th wedding anniversary and per my husband’s request they decorated our bed. We were just here for a night, wished it was longer though.

We were in several high end lodges in Uganda . This one , by far, had the best service, food and Shower. Some of us need to eat gluten free and they were super flexible and friendly on that aspect as well. Great experience and we highly recommend . We took a family room as we were with 3 kids.
