Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Nelson BC

Environment Location: Good location, surrounded by other hotels and restaurants, easy to find. Pet friendly as it accepted dogs.

Hotel was absolutely filthy. Yes, the hotel is dated; however, it wouldn't be a problem if it was kept clean at all. Elevators were shuddery and they were covered in dirt to the point I decided to haul all my belongings up the stairs to the third floor. In the stairwell, there was a door handle that had almost completely fallen off the door; there were mouse traps and flickering lights. In the room, the bathroom sink didn't drain, a lightbulb was burnt out, the surfaces were covered in dust, and there were drip stains down the wall. We asked the front desk for another lightbulb, but we were not able to get one for whatever reason. It was honestly the dingiest hotel I've ever stayed in. I've stayed in other super 8s but none were nearly as bad as this. I get the impression that they just don't care. The only nice thing was that boston pizza is very close and you get a 10% discount.

Typical super 8. Very clean and convenient hotel. Has a pool and hot tub but hot tub went down the day we arrived. Usually sleep great at super 8 but the beds were very hard which is unusual. I’d stay again though.
