Hygiene: Cleanliness was a recurring positive, with comments about the hotel’s overall tidiness, properly organized breakfast areas, and warm, freshly prepared meals. Even during renovations, efforts to maintain standards were acknowledged by several guests.(based on 1 review)

Stayed during renovation. First room given had bad paint fumes. Second room moved to still smelt bad of paint. Was told if we were given another room we would be down graded. Receptionist was not very nice or helpful. No towels or facecloths in the room. No soap or toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast at 9am had been sitting for a long time and was not good. Looks to be a nice hotel when finished but seems poorly managed. Would not stay again. Better options.

I was travelling on business and was drawn to this hotel as it was advertised with a HOT breakfast and also showed a pub/restaurant attached which would mean no reason to go out after heavy duty finance meetings but to unwind and enjoy a drink and dinner in the hotel. First off when we checked and went to the room it was around 100 degrees, maybe nice when a typical Fort Mac winter and minus 50 but when it's 23 outside a little too excessive! We were shown to another room apparently the executive suite which was also stifling but not quite as bad as the first room - my wife was told that maintenance would be up to fix it but never showed up, all the while I was working, my wife was left in the room waiting for maintenance to show up yet they never bothered! Things went from bad to worse as we found that the restaurant/bar was closed down and so we would have to walk into town - only 15-20 mins but a long way when you've been at meetings all day. When returning from dinner we found that the alarm clock was not even on the correct time and so had to use my cell phone alarm to ensure being up for work the next day. when we headed for breakfast the following morning there was no sign of the promised hot breakfast - in fact no sign of any breakfast period! It wasn't until I attempted to at least grab an apple juice that I was told the drinks machine isn't working either! but that reception had a "to go" breakfast ready for us. This consisted of a yoghurt, apple, muffin and an out date bacon/cheese biscuit, my wife being muslim obviously could not have eaten this even if she wanted to. I had meetings to attend so grabbed the yoghurts and left – my wife tried two apples both of which were rotten! To top it off the only tea available was peppermint or green tea, no sign of an Earl Grey or Pekoe breakfast tea anywhere! Not sure what happened to the helpful friendly staff that apparently used to be at the hotel but Lila especially was arrogant, rude and spent an hour or more on the phone I’m assuming to the manager when we complained about the missing features that dragged us to the hotel to start with! I would suggest that you give this place a miss and head up the street to the Stonebridge suites, we 110% will not be back to the renamed Podollan/Prime. It was so bad I will in fact be seeking recompense from ******* that this place was booked through – not sure how many English people will read this but this place makes Fawlty Towers look good

What a mistake booking this horrible hotel. It’s under construction. Shouldn’t even be open yet. There is no lobby or front desk. Just a temporary desk in the bar that’s being renovated. We booked for 5 nights. We were very skeptical from the beginning due to overall appearance and messy conditions. Checked in and went to look at our room. Room wasn’t horrible. Spacious and reasonably clean for the money but the mattresses were very soft and old looking. After checking out the room my wife and I were laying on the beds just relaxing a bit and some random guy USES A KEYCARD AND WALKS RIGHT INTO THE ROOM. WHILE WE WERE IN THERE! WALKED RIGHT IN LIKE HE OWNED THE PLACE. WE HAD TO YELL AT HIM GET OUT. Turns out he was a contractor. The place was swarming with contractors doing renovations. That’s when we decided immediately we were cancelling the balance of our stay. We stormed down to the front desk to complain and demand to know how we’re supposed to feel safe and secure when anyone can just walk into our room? How do we know someone won’t just come steal our stuff when we’re not there? Shouldn’t it be impossible for someone to have access if we’re checked in? Also there is no free hot breakfast as advertised. Their “grab and go” breakfast is a joke. Staff was agreeable and pleasant enough to let us easily cancel the rest of our stay. The Prime might be ok one day, but it’s certainly not good now. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Go stay at the Pomeroy instead!

In room furniture shows obvious signs of damage. Website promises hot breakfast but when I showed up was told that breakfast is not provided due to ongoing renovations (which are also not detailed online)

Had a great stay. I loved the underground parking. The exterior was being renovated and looked a little rough upon drive up and caught me off guard.
