I've been coming up to Fort Bragg since I was a child in the 80s. I love Mendocino County, I love Fort Bragg even more, but I am absolutely head-over-heels in love with Noyo Harbor, The Wharf Restaurant and the Anchor Lodge! I love watching the fishing boats come in, the harbor seals swim by, and the seal lions play. At night, you can hear the fog horn. I just love it! Also doesn't hurt that it was in the movie Overboard! with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. My husband knew this place was so special to me that he chose to propose to me on the balcony of the Anchor Lodge back in 2018! I know the Anchor Lodge is a little dated, but it's clean and comfortable, and one of the most unique lodging choices in the world!

Besides the tiny shower the toilet was in a difficult to access location. Otherwise I liked the rustic vibe. This is the northern building , the rooms over at the southern building may be different.

Love being within the harbour it doesnt get any better than this. Bed was comfortable. Silvers is a grest place to eat

We were there 2 nights it was a place to sleep that was very clean You could walk to restaurants on water It was a satisfactory experience Check in was easy !!

The whole building itself appears to lean which is a bit concerning. The self check in was easy. The room was very basic but clean. The surrounding area had loud noises all night including a tone in the harbor that went off every 60 seconds.

I would not recommend this place to anyone
We had to wait 2 hours after check in time to get into the room. We watched one of the housekeepers just sit on a chair and stare at us for over 30 minutes. We were told we would be contacted by a manager in the morning for a partial refund/discount. We were never contacted. The hotel is dated. The door would barely shut and had a huge gap around it. Bedding had holes and burns. We ended up not staying and booking a hotel down the street.

I was happy with our stay. The rooms are always spotless and you are close to everything. Clean and comfortable.

The owners just bought it and are planning to completely remodel it. They were very nice and concerned about our stay.
We didn't like how small the room was, and the fact that the electric didn't work in one outlet. We had to go to the office and borrow extension cords so we could use another outlet. The office was at another property they own, which you have to drive to.

It was a fun little trip. The room is accessible by a code, no on site service. We had room 12 which had a conjoined door. Two nice comfy beds and pillows, little kitchen area with microwave and small fridge, coffee maker. One window does not have a black out curtain so it was a little brighter in the morning but not to bad. You can hear your neighbors talking next door so privacy is limited but they have an in room wall fan that helps for any noise. Place is in the same partly g lot as the wharf restaurant which was cool plus other places to eat. Best part is you can hear the fog horn. Tv worked and the shower was hot, no bath. For what we paid I am happy and will return to relax and enjoy the sea
