It was a great deal, breakfast included which was very nice. A drink voucher and a pack of sweets. A big room, and bed, nice bathroom and shower and good size tv. Downside was curtains didnt quite fit windows. Heating was stuck on low so made room really warm, and bed was quite creaky.

When I booked the hotel, I had assumed the facilities would be old based on the photos, but I was disappointed to find them even older and more inconvenient than I expected. In particular, the room was too dark, and there was no hot water in the bathroom.

The room was really big , bed was comfortable loads of shops round about and lovely gardens to explore. Only bad thing was the parking there isn't any for the actual hotel . You have to take your chances in the car park up the road or park in the street beside the hotel which is limited time

Limited parking available. Had to park in a public car park & walk here. Inside is a very unwelcoming atmosphere. It’s very old & in need of a modern makeover & a DEEP CLEAN. There is no clear sign where to go, you might end up walking into the pub downstairs. To then be told you have to go up a couple flight of stairs. & again no sign where to go. walk in to what I can only describe as a carpeted small school hall, with a few tables with a chairs, which a few are broken, and a un operational bar. My family & I came for a roast to which we were very disappointed. The pigs in blankets were small & burnt to a crisp like pebbles. The beef was also a very small portion dry & rubbery. Like chewing leather no amount of gravy could save it. The carrots tasted like they had been boiled in dirt water. The potatoes were overcooked & sparse on the plate. And sticking with the theme of dry and overdone food. The skirlie was like eating wood shavings, which could have started a fire. The only edible thing was, what I assume to be a store bought Yorkshire pudding. Its Safe to say I didn’t eat much of what was on the plate. I would not go there again at all. & would recommend to all to eat somewhere else as it is a waste of money for the quantity and quality of food provided by whoever is in the kitchen.

Well a local man showed me where the hotel was …which was part of a pub. I was warmly greeted and handed a bag of sweets, a free drink voucher and taken up to see the room which was themed as a photography studio I think . There were pleasant views down Forres high street either way from the third floor windows. There was plenty of room. Well , a free drink of anything , wine thank you!! The breakfast was very pleasant and I was served by a smart young man from a local school. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Staff were welcoming, property itself was fairly run down carpets could have been vacuumed, windows had to be propped open and some had metal straps across to prevent opening due to rot, power shower was cold and just a trickle lucky was only one night stay as i would have left.
