Reethi Beach Resort

I had a fabulous stay at Reethi Beach. It was the first time that I stayed in a Maldivian's island hotel, so I don't know how are the others resorts, but yet I had such a good time. I stayed 4 nights in a Sunset Deluxe Villa, and I really think it's the best choice you can make there! On this side of the island, the beach is few steps to your villa, and the house reef is absolutely amazing -and I've seen other reefs in the Maldives-. The villa is big and comfy, but what I really loved is the open air bathroom. I was really amazed by the buffet, so many good and various food from all over the world! And the Asian night -on Mondays only- was incredible. I really felt that the cooking team really enjoys what they're doing, and are happy to share what they prepared for you. There are a lot of things that are in extra, but you didn't come all the way here to save money right? The only real things that annoyed me was that if you're not on an all inclusive plan, a bottle of water is charged 3$.... But well, my stay at Reethi was way too nice to get stuck on that point. I would definitely come back there and stay at least a week!

We went to Reethi Beach Resort for our honeymoon and opted for a water villa, the room was clean, we had clean bath towels, beach towels and bath robes everytime we needed. We opted for an all inclusive stay, the food was really good and with so many choices everyday, while for dinner each night had a different theme. We also ate once at the Saima Garden Restaurant with a cosy set and at the Moodhu Bar Restaurant located on a deck, having dinner with the ocean under us was a nice experience. There was so much food that we always skipped lunch. In the all inclusive deal we had a sunset cruise included which we always like to do on our trips, this one was also very nice. You can book within the Resort a photo shooting via their partner Studio7 so my wife and I had the most beautiful photo shoot on a sandbank. All pictures turned out amazing, with lovely colours and flattering light and all detailed corrections. The Resort also has a spa center called Coconut Spa where we got their signature massage which you definitely must try! The staff was really nice and polite throughout our stay, the cooks at the stationary kitchens were all great and always checked if everything is ok with the food, the maitre d' was always very kind and checked in with the guests during dinner, the guys at the bar were very attentive to our orders. There were no mosquitos or dangerous insects as they are really careful with the maintenance of the island. The GM is a great person who puts so much thought into making the island as cosy, relaxing and safe as can be. We saw so many beautiful sea creatures while snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing on our patio, like beautiful corals, sea turtles, all sorts of fish, mantras and sharks. There isn't one thing to complain about, as the resort is really something special; there are just a couple of things we personally felt could be taken into consideration: - the toiletries could include hair conditioner as it is a beach resort and the ladies wash their hair often; - the all inclusive bar menu could include one sparkling wine option, in order to accommodate all tastes; - the reception could be a bit better instructed, to match the energy of the rest of the staff. We understand the resort will be completely renovated next year so we are already planning our next visit!

The resort and the island were fabulous and well worth a visit. The wildlife was a real bonus, with flying foxes and lizards plentiful. Sharks and a variety of fish always great to see.. Water Villa was spacious and great bed/pillows. Balcony over the sea was large enough for us , the only downside was that the steps went onto a small coral reef so not too inviting. Otherwise can't fault the room or bar/restaurant. Food was spectacular and the Christmas banquet was unbelievable. Faloo (bar) and Majit(restaurant) were brilliant. The service was second to none. Beaches and sea were so clean and made the days so relaxing. Sunset cruise was simple, but worth the couple of hours trip, for the views. The only fault I have with the whole holiday was the way our last day went and how our travel back was handled. At 7.30pm on our last night we were told that our suitcases would be collected at 3.30am the next morning for a boat trip at 4.30am to the domestic airport. This forced us into an early night and very early start. After being dropped off at Male international airport there was no rep, and we were left to our own devices for almost 7hrs before our flight left ( 8.5 after a short delay). Having paid $9k + this was not how we expected the trip to end. These last day arrangements are the responsibility of the resort and we felt they failed us. Such a shame after a great holiday.

My wife and I booked a water villa at Reethi beach for a week, and had an incredible experience. The waters around the island were shallow and turquoise in colour, and the sand was fine and powdery white like what we imagined. We saw fish and even sharks swimming by from the villa entrance to the sea everyday! We are grateful to the wonderful resort staff for making this possible: Majid - thank you for being a friendly face, proactively helping with dinner reservations and giving value adding suggestions. The delightful napkin arrangements (swans, flowers!) for our last meal was very much appreciated! The food options were also excellent - the most memorable were the international buffet (with themed events such as Mediterranean/ Maldivian nights etc) and grilled seafood on the beach (lovingly decorated with beautiful Christmas trees, lights on the beach and live jazz music!) Shiham - the best in house photographer we could ask for. We signed up for two photo sessions with him, one above and another underwater. Shiham was extremely skillful at capturing these special moments between my wife and I. He also brought out the best in the pictures with natural looking retouches. Our sessions flew by and felt like hanging out with a friend, with the best island life vibes 🙂 Hidha - thank your for being patient and accommodating with our requests. Ibbeyz and Hanif - Good natured and professional dive and snorkelling guides who showed us the best of the underwater Maldivian seascape. Thanks for showing us the reef, sharks and stingrays although it was a pity the manta season had just ended when we arrived.

We had an amazing trip to Reethi Beach. It exceeded all expectations. I loved the low key barefoot vibe. The only time I ever put shoes on was to play tennis. The rooms are simple but very comfortable and I loved the open bathrooms. Our room cleaner kept our water bottles filled and was very efficient. We were in room 177 and it was a lovely walk down to the dining room at mealtimes and that did help to get my step count up on such a small island. Each room has its own sun beds in the shade so you are never in the position of having to claim a bed at the start of the day. The beach and the sea were simply stunning and the snorkelling was brilliant. I was really impressed with the food at every mealtime. I have a serious food allergy and one of the chefs would meet me at mealtimes to point out items that may cause a problem. If I wasn’t comfortable to eat a particular item then they offered to cook something fresh. Thank you so much Jay Panda, Rajesh and Baboo in particular. I felt confident and safe in their care. It can’t be easy to cater for special food requirements but the whole team are brilliant. There was actually so much choice at the buffet and the quality of food was excellent. Thank you too to our waiters Mahjid and Arun. The bar staff were quick to learn our names and what we liked to drink. Thank you to Faloo in the main bar and to Sandeep in the sunset bar. The other guests that we met were good fun and lots were repeat visitors. I can see why. We met single guests, families, visitors from UK, Germany, Sweden, Russia. Everyone we met only had good things to say about Reethi beach and now I do the same. There seemed to be lots of excitement about the forthcoming renovations and I really hope that they are successful. I hope that the atmosphere in this lovely place doesn’t change though. For me it is hard to beat and I look forward to becoming one of those repeat visitors.

From very first moment, they all make you feel like you're back with friends. The diving and incredible diversity of marine life absolutely amazing! Wonderfully varied food and staff is all great.
