The room is very modern, with a Chinese garden style, and the sunset on the beach is beautiful. I originally booked the Suger Beach Hotel a month in advance, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there were no rooms. I was speechless. Then I was arranged to stay in a dirty, messy and small thatched cottage. Finally, I contacted Ctrip to help me change to Sofitel. I have to say that Ctrip's after-sales service is still good, but the Suger Hotel is really speechless. I will not go there next time 🙃

The hotel has its own beach and boathouse. Kayaks and paddle boards are my favorites. It's a pity that I don't have time to use the windsurfing board. Chasing dolphins🐬 can be booked at the hotel, and you can get on the boat directly on the beach, which is very convenient.
I booked breakfast and dinner every day, and the theme of the dinner buffet changed every day. It was very comfortable to eat dinner while watching the sunset.

Stayed for 1 week in April, half board, for our 10th wedding anniversary with 2 young children, and had the most amazing time. Sofitel is located on the western coast of the island with a white sandy beach, very private and quiet. Views of the sunset are unmatched. The main international restaurant provided excellent food buffet style in the morning and evening with good variety and live cooking stations. Chef took particular attention for allergies which was great. The staff were very helpful from checking in, Davina and Ishwari were always on hand to support and offer assistance on the desk. Big shout out to Nawaz, who helpfully organised excursions and really knowledgable about the island. Fresh fruit and aperitifs in the room daily was a nice touch. There were free shuttle services to nature park, and free diving / water activities such as kayaking, snorkelling, pedalling on the private beach, with reefs nearby to see fish and turtles. Will visit again.
