"Hotel is positioned on a beautiful part of the island. The grounds are lush and pool is great. We loved everything here as far as the environment, views, amenities and our room, but the service was quite poor specially with the front desk. Our room was directly by the pool, and two nights in a row live music was playing at the pool restaurant until 11pm, which is great if you are there enjoying it, but not when you have a small child and trying to put them to bed. The next day when I told the front desk member that the music was very loud in our room and we were unable to sleep he just said yes we can play music until 11. When I pushed further and asked if we could be moved the answer was no. And that was that. I was stunned at this terrible customer service. I appreciate the hotel was fully booked but a simple gesture, an apology or sympathy would have gone a long way."

"My poor husband booked this for us as a treat for my 60th birthday. We were going to Fishcardo restaurant. See the review I posted on that place. He had thought it would be nice to stay in town and not drive back to Argastoli where we had been staying on holiday. Well what fiasco!! The minute we got into the room I read the reviews. i think my husband wished he'd have done that before he made the booking. I am not sure what is considered luxury in Kefalonia but this in England might be described as maybe a boutique hotel. The rooms are such a mishmash !! Flashy automatic taps that come on every time you look at them. Over complicated showers that spurt out water from unexpected places. But weird cheap art on the walls and some very odd lighting, maybe tiny pink spot lights are considered luxury in Kefalonia its such a confused décor its just so odd. The fridge wasn't working, the air conditioning was hardly working also ( its was 37 degrees) There was NO WATER in the fridge either. No teaspoons in the room. There was old water in the coffee machine although god knows how to work it because NOTHING was explained to us. Apparently we could have paid to see a movie on the viewing box but again NOTHING was explained to us. Once we were showed to our hot, airless room, the staff disappeared completely. We tried to call them, email them...NOTHING. In the end my husband went outside and lent on the bell until the young girl who showed us to our room appeared looking bewildered. We tried to explain to her our issues, I don't think she spoke much English and looked blankly at us while we explained about the lack of …well everything actually. In the end my husband insisted that we change rooms. The next door room was empty, unsurprisingly and the air conditioning in that room worked ! Hooray !!! Utterly clueless staff, the rooms are definitely NOT luxury. Be warned, you will regret it if you stay here. We paid £185. "

"Beautiful room in a small complex around a quirky courtyard. Very quiet (in September at least) despite accessing almost directly onto the quayside restaurant strip. Very friendly and helpful owner. Some rooms are upstairs and there is no lift so that might be importantly to you but we had a great week here."

"What a fantastic place, beautiful views from our room and the breakfast terrace. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was so good for a such a small place. Excellent location for exploring fiscardo and the nearby coves. The lady who owns it is so helpful and all of the staff were really nice. So glad we booked it."

"If you want an apartment with the best views in Fiscardo - come here! The Residence is an old and beautifully converted villa behind the main Faros Suites, up some steepish steps or it can also be reached (less steeply) via a road behind. Apartment 109 is amazing and very atmospheric, with antique furniture and artworks everywhere. The website pictures hardly do it justice. Best of all is the huge balcony, facing two ways and taking in the island of Ithaka and the mainland hills in the distance. We could hardly drag ourselves away, but the village, harbour front, restaurants and bars are a pleasant five-minute stroll along the coast, passing a small beach. No breakfast is provided, but plenty of coffee and tea are supplied, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the apartment is fully serviced each morning, and I mean fully - on the first day we were reprimanded for washing up our breakfast dishes! There is also a pool for the sole use of Residence guests. Fiscardo is a wonderful place to visit and this must be one of the best places to stay."

"The accommodation does not have parking. The main carpark is about 30 steps climb and a couple of mins walk away. Parking is free, but it can be difficult to find a space. When we arrived at the accommodation, it was down an alleyway between an ice cream shop and a tavern. There was no one to greet us we arrived about 3pm, ringing the bell was pointless as we located the receptionist working in the ice cream shop. We got into our room, and we had paid extra for a jetted bath tub. This has been broken for more than 12 months, but this property is still advertising it on ******* and *********** at an enhanced rate. There is a deceptive notice in the room stating it broke yesterday, which is clearly just a lie. I was told by the receptionist that it clearly states the issue on the hotel website. We were not given any money back they just did not care. Breakfast is either Greek or continental, and you get this at Grecos tavern, which opens at 9 am. The breakfast was fine, with no issues. The room was big, the location was excellent staff were ok but the place is starting to look tired rather than luxurious. Would not stay in this accomodation again. "

The room was very comfortable with plenty of storage and a safe and was cleaned very well every day except Sunday. The view from our room was amazing and we enjoyed watching the super yachts coming and going and people watching from the balcony."

"We arrived in Fiskardo from Ithaki and were delighted to find that Faros Suites is just a short walk from the ferry terminal. Our first impression was excellent. Although we arrived early and the previous guests had only just checked out, the staff immediately prioritised cleaning our suite so we could check in ahead of schedule. We stayed in Loft Suite No. 9 and absolutely loved it. It was spacious, beautifully designed, cool and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The small pool was a lovely bonus and perfect for cooling off after a day in the sun. The location is ideal. We easily walked to both Foki Beach and Emblisi Beach, and Fiskardo harbour is only a short stroll away. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful complimentary breakfast offerings on the terrace, including coffee, tea, juice, and snacks. We felt well looked after throughout our visit and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Faros Suites was a fantastic base for exploring Fiskardo, and we would happily stay here again."

"We had a fantastic time here. Our apartment (10) was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The view from the balcony was exceptional. Bed was comfortable, kitchenette area was well equipped. The staff we encountered were lovely, including Tony, who helped take our suitcases up. May was a perfect time to go; we had the pool to ourselves most days. Pool towels are provided. It’s a tranquil place. There are lots of stairs to the apartments so I would say they may not be suitable for people with mobility issues."
