Ruolanbieyuan Homestay (Phoenix Ancient City Store)

Absolutely outstanding. We arrived late at night, the owner and her son greeted us and took our bags to our room. They explained how to do the various activities within Fenghuang, bought us our tickets at a discount, and the next morning brought us to the Miao costume shop. We were able to leave our bags at the hotel and came back mid-afternoon to rest in front of a fan in the shade. We also did our laundry, and as promised, it dried overnight on the balcony. The owner and her staff go above and beyond to make sure your visit is impeccable, and they are so, so kind. For our departure, the owner accompanied us to the bus station and made sure we were on the bus back to the train station. Perfect location — minutes from the river/center of everything. Just be wary that it’s all paved pedestrian streets with stairs, lugging our 23kg suitcases was a bit of a trek!

Really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet, but still 5 minute walk to the river where all the action is. Host lady was very kind and welcoming. Good shower, comfy room. No complaints!

Our experience at this accommodation was outstanding. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, always offering proactive help and making us feel truly special, safe, and completely at home. From the very first day, when she came to pick us up and took us to the house, to the last day, when she accompanied us to the station and even drove us to a big supermarket so we could get everything we needed, everything was just perfect. The location, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere are excellent. We wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation — we would come back without hesitation!

Very good place to stay in Fenghuang! The neighbourhood is very peaceful and nice to hang around. The room is perfect. The host is very nice and helpful! Thank you 🙏🏽 I highly recommend!
