The Elms Hotel Spa, A Destination by Hyatt Hotel

The staff provides consistently friendly and helpful service. The hotel features a popular outdoor pool, a nice gym, a spa with grotto and massages, and a European lap pool. The lobby has board games.

What a nice and fun place to stay. Very historic building with unique rooms. We stayed in the Parlor Suite. Bed was so good! The walk in shower was nice but shower head and extra sprayer was installed 8 feet above shower floor making it difficult to get down the hand held. I would recommend a small table to be placed in the bathroom for toiletries. The toilet paper is strange. It’s made of bamboo and is not on a roll but comes out like individual tissues?! The room had a wet bar area with mini fridge which came in handy. Microwave is by ice machine if you need one. The sitting area and the bedroom had very nice wall Mount TVs. The hotel has some small entry doors and elevator but was told this was due to being on the National Historic Register and could not be changed. The grounds are awesome! Seating everywhere. Yard games all about. A great pool and cabanas and lounge chairs. Hot tub and fire pits. The Libby is grand and fun for people watching and board games or reading. Not impressed at all with the Three Owls Restaurant. Way over priced for the quality of food. Paid $12 for a creme brûlée that was about 1/3 inch deep. Not that good. Go outside of hotel to have your meals. Otherwise a great trip. We will be back!

My husband I were traveling through the area on business and were delighted to find somewhere to stay that was out of the ordinary big chain, cookie cutter mold. This was such a fun, refreshing place to stay -- we can't wait to come back.
