The Wanderoo Lodge

As always the staff made our stay great! Comfortable rooms, great bar/restaurant on property. One of our favorite places to stay!

I guess I'll start with the fact that there was no place to unpack your clothes, no dresser or anyplace that most hotel/motels offer, We had to live out of our bags. The first evening we went to the Gravel Bar for dinner. We ordered the Margherita Flatbread ($13) with a Practical Magic drink ($14) along with a domestic beer (price not listed on menu). Later we ordered the Rooberry for dessert ($10) and and Elderberry Citrus Cooler ($10) and an another beer. Without knowing the exact price of each beers the total came to $47 plus tax, of course, and I left my customary 20% tip, yet my credit card was charged $111.98, not sure where the additional fees came from, I'm pretty sure the beers didn't cost that much. There was insufficient power outlets in the room, the TV, refrigerator, microwave and lamps had all outlet used up, I finally unplugged a lamp so that I could charge my phone. In the bathroom the water pressure was non-existent, jus t a trickle at best, and for this, the desk was advised and they stated they would send maintenance, We stayed 4 days and maintenance never showed. Additionally, in the bathroom, there was no place to hang damp towels to dry after a shower or using the pool, no towel hooks, no bars, nothing. The evening of day 2 the ants arrived, coming in from under the front door and they invaded the bathroom, where I had several crawling on me when I brushed my teeth. On day 3, I finally had to go to the office to request clean towels, (and they were given), but house keeping never came to the room, I even had to call the desk to get trash removed, we were told to set it outside the front door and someone would get it. Ice was only available from the bar, no ice machine was present on the grounds. If you wanted ice before the bar opened or after it closed, you were just out of luck or had to go to the neighboring convenience store to get it. All in all, this was a very poor experience, especially for the $481.44 that we were charged for the stay. I will never recommend Wanderloo to anyone.

Quiet, clean and comfy! Great stay! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and larger than an average hotel room. We will definitely be back.

The rates at pretty high for what you get. The pool is a small concrete pit. The rooms are halfway remodeled, so the bathroom is straight out of the 70s. We found hair in the shower, found a ladybug on the pillow as soon as we checked in. A bug in the bathroom. I get it’s Arkansas in the summer, but come on. The stairs and deck are shoddy. For $200 a night it’s just not worth it! There are cheaper places to stay that are nicer. The only perk is there is a great restaurant/bar next door with live music.

The floor of my room was very sticky. They are renovating, which is needed. music is GREAT.

We had the best time!! Live music great bar with food! Very friendly people! We loved it!!
