Tru by Hilton Euless DFW West

I checked in here because my hot water is off at home, and needed a shower. I’ve used this place before, with no complaining. It’s brand new, shiny, clean, and everything I came in contact with is working right. For what they intend to provide, there’s nothing wrong with this place. This is not the quality I expect from the Hilton brand(s) and I believe the company diluting their brand image selling stuff below their price class. If they want to operate in this medium it would do the brand a huge favor to take their name off of it, and let it stand on it’s own for what it intends to do. Hilton charges a lot, and for most properties the customer gets what they paid for. This brand does not live up to that standard. It’s basic, and cheap, and Hilton has never been either of those. It reminds me of the Cadillac Cimarron where General Motors wanted to sell America a dinky, cheap Chevrolet wearing Cadillac dressing for twice the price. That was 1982, the customers didn’t accept it, they didn’t buy it, and that car is still laughed about today. It did tremendous damage to the prestige and image of a Cadillac. I believe this TRU brand is doing the same thing to Hiltons. The Wyndham brands are doing the same thing to their prestige by adding in a whole lot of basic to what once was a luxury brand. They own more sleazy properties than good ones, and I don’t want to patronize any of them.

Deserves a 0 star rating. They put the grab and go breakfast sandwich’s in the hot box at 6:30 am on the weekends but keep it locked it until 7:00 am because that’s when they start serving breakfast. That’s totally contrary to the point of having breakfast sandwiches ready! Breakfast staff is rude and whoever come up with this idea should be fired!

Reviews I read complained about the interstate next to it (grow up), said their bed wasn't made perfect, (you must have messed it up yourself), or any other nitpick thing a "Karen" could find...this hotel was great. Clean, QUIET, and makes you feel as comfortable as possible while being away from home. HIGHLY recommend and will book here again! No doubt. 🤝

I am going to make this a short review as I have already reviewed the TRU brand and find it lacking for serious business travelers. The employees are very nice and professional. I say lacking as it was obviously designed by someone who does not travel and stay any length of time in a hotel room. There is no place to put clothes away, they hang in the open so no way to have a private business meeting or even have someone stop by without having to "Pack" up everything. Unfortunately this particular TRU only gives you a bottle of water at check in unless you are a silver or higher. I am actually a Silver and have been for over 20 years traveling to Hiltons. But apparently that is not enough. So, when my company asks me what hotel, it will not be a TRU in the future. Not because they were not polite but let's be real, my company spends thousands at Hilton brand and I can't have a bottle of water every day.

Pros: nice front desk staff member. Hotel is clean. Cons: No window dark shade, it was missing, reported and nothing done to replace, light missing from wall, one paper cup, no ice buckets on floor (had to go to front desk). There are many other options in the area for hotels. Glad I only had to stay one night.
