The Chateau is stunning. The staff were very welcoming. I just wished I had booked a room within the Chateau, and not in the Orangery. What I didn't realise was that our room in the Orangery was over the restaurant. We had a long drive before arriving, and were due to leave fairly early the following morning, so looking forward to an early night. We also like to sleep with our window open, big mistake. At 12.40 pm we were still being interrupted by people, some a little worse for wear, leaving the restaurant. So, conscious of being a bit picky I would say please visit the Chateau, it is a treat, but if you book the orangery it is noisy (not surprisingly the restaurant is very popular). Also whilst the hotel quotes 'soundproof' even the noise from the corridor outside the room is loud when people are passing by. As to the room itself, just rather drab, again I think a room within the Chateau would have been an improvement. Also a small fridge for the water would be lovely! The room was lovely and warm, and so was the water.

Had to cancel last minute because my child got very sick, so I asked to move my reservation to another day and offered to provide a doctor's note. My request was refused. I understand that my reservation was not refundable - in my experience most hotels will move the reservations if you can show a force majeur. It's just a reasonable, decent thing to do. So instead of a grateful customer who will visit your hotel and eat at your restaurant many times (I live less than an hour away), you get to keep my money without providing any service + receive this terrible review.

This is our 4th trip to this lovely hotel and it never disappoints. There has noticeably been some decor updated, and our rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. We dined in l’Orangerie on our first night. The food was fabulous as usual and the staff were fun, especially Alexandra, and attentive. Excellent sommelier and cheese presentation 😂. Breakfast was lovely, although a little pricey, but I did miss the freshly squeezed orange juice!…..please bring it back? Overall, a fabulous stay. We will be back. Thank you.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in France. The chateau itself is beautiful, inside and out. Our room was huge and comfortable. Take the time to walk through the gardens behind the building. Some of what you see may be part of your breakfast the next day! Finally, the staff could not have been nicer. From start to finish, friendly and helpful.

It is hard to understand why some people have negative comments on this place. For us, these were the best 2 days we spent in an hotel in France on our trip to Burgundy and Champagne. Already after reserving the hotel we got a checklist to fill in with special requests if any. Then the hotel itself is a magic romantic place. Exceptional friendly staff from the first minute to the last. We got a upgrade of he chamber we had ordered initially. Perfect bathroom, apart WC. Fine bedding. Copious breakfast. A park to walk around a a very spacious parking lot. Take a look at our pictures. Do not hesitate. Highly recommended.

Location is beautiful. But the staff are useless! We were greeted with “Your room is not ready and you have not booked dinner for all the nights you are staying”.No how was the trip! They make you feel like you are an inconvenience to be tolerated just. No service, no presence. Ate at the main restaurant and it was nice, expensive French food with limited choices. Better food can be found in the surrounding villages.
