Κατ’αρχήν είναι ένα πολύ όμορφο μέρος σ’ενα ευλογημένο τόπο την Αργολική γη. Κατά δεύτερον οι εγκαταστάσεις του δείχνουν τα χρόνια λειτουργίας και κατασκευής. Έχουν γίνει κάποιες προσπάθειες βελτίωσης ( το έχω επισκεφτεί και άλλες δύο φορές στο παρελθόν επι διαχείρισης BARCELO ) αλλά δεν φτάνει. Τα παράθυρα είναι χωρίς σίτες, πράγμα που επιτρέπει την είσοδο στα δωμάτια διαφόρων εντόμων και δη κουνουπιών, το καλοκαίρι είναι μεγάλο πρόβλημα αυτό με τα παράθυρα ανοιχτά λόγω ζέστης. Οπότε η ανέχεσαι τα κουνούπια ( δεν υπάρχουν συσκευές απομάκρυνσης των στα δωμάτια ) ή ανοίγεις το Α/ C και κλείνεις τα παράθυρα. Το προσωπικό είναι λίγο και ανεκπαίδευτο, αυτό φαινόταν ιδιαίτερα στο εστιατόριο όπου τα παιδιά ( πολύ νεαροί ) υπερέβαλαν εαυτούς αλλά ….. δεν ήταν αρκετό για το αποτέλεσμα που απαιτεί ο πελάτης ενός 5αστερου ξενοδοχείου. Να αναφέρω και μια πρόσφατη προσωπική εμπειρία. Χθες μετά από μια ξαφνική νεροποντή δεν υπήρχε επικοινωνία με την Reception. Επι μια ώρα προσπαθούσα να επικοινωνήσω αλλά μάταια από το κινητό μου τηλ. Εάν ήταν μια πραγματική ανάγκη δεν ξέρω τι θα είχε συμβεί. ΑΠΑΡΑΔΕΚΤΟ για 5αστερο ξενοδοχείο. ΦΩΤΕΙΝΗ εξαίρεση ο Μάρκος από την υποδοχή. Προσπάθησε να μας λύσει το πρόβλημα που προέκυψε και να δείξει κατανόηση. Καλό θάναι να βελτιωθούν αυτά γιατί είναι αμαρτία για κάποιες λεπτομέρειες να χάνεται η μεγάλη εικόνα. Ευχομαι στην επόμενη επίσκεψη μας να μην βρούμε τα ίδια χάλια …..

Beautiful location on the shore of the Aegean opposite the islands of Doukos ,& Idra. Hotel and grounds kept very clean and tidy. Always staff cleaning and groundsmen keeping the extensive garden beautiful. The down side is it is in a very isolated location. So expected some sort of entertainment and program of events. None was forthcoming. A peaceful start was welcome then all hell broke loose from Friday to the Monday. A whole school of kids arrived with adults who had very little control of their charges. Scooters whizzing through the buffet area and into reception. Disgraceful ,,the little darlings took massive amounts of food they didn't eat. So if you want to book, check Greek school holidays and ask the question about school party bookings. Our room was adequate, nice bathroom with walk in shower. No hot drink facilities available which seemed odd ,for a supposed 5,☆hotel. Perhaps not the thing in Greece. Breakfast and lunches were good but dinner disappointing. Most food was over cooked and just about warm. Wine and water was in abundance at lunch & dinner. Pool area was good though could do with an adult only pool. Between the 3 beaches sun loungers with parasols were readily available. Not so sure this would be the case in peak season. To sum it up for an all inclusive deal not the best I have been to. Location splendid. Beds very comfortable. I must give a shout out to reception staff who were brilliant, especially Jessica who helped us out with a problem we had ,( not hotel related,):

Μείναμε στο ξενοδοχείο για δύο μέρες με τα παιδιά μας.. εξαιρετικά όλα. Προσωπικό ευγενεστατος. Δωμάτια πεντακάθαρα και με απόλυτη ησυχία..Τα εστιατόρια κυρίως το κεντρικό...ΕΞΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΑ... Πισινα πεντακάθαρη και βρίσκαμε ξαπλώστρες πάντα..Το mini club για τα παιδιά και αυτό εξαιρετικό..Σε γενικές γραμμές ένα 10/10...Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα

A beautiful resort in a stunning location. 3 hours by road from Athens may deter some, but the experience is well worth it (the drive itself will impress too…). Wonderful food for all tastes in the elevated restaurant and ‘low key’ bars by the beach and pool. Very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean accommodation. A highlight for us were the staff themselves who were so kind and courteous. They were obviously proud of their work (the reception, catering and support staff). Hopefully we can visit again soon to enjoy the great hospitality at the impressive Hydra Resort.

Beautiful gardens, great food, and an outlook that really is breathtaking. Busy at the weekend but the resort is big enough to cope in the restaurant, pool and beach. The food was high quality and varied, and the deserts were fantastic. The beach has plenty of sun beds and the view of Hydra is spectacular.

This hotel is set in the most beautiful surroundings with a perfect view of Hydra Island. Sea is calm and beaches within the grounds. Very quiet when we stayed, great for us because we wanted to relax but some may want some more nightlife. Food in main restaurant varied, could always find something to enjoy, especially the amazing salads and fruit (and bread to die for!). Sometimes a bit repetitive but must be hard to cater for so many different nationalities. Reception staff helpful, especially Jessica. Main highlight was the great food served at the a la carte restaurant. Had dinner (Italian) and lunch (Mediterranean) and both times food was high quality and plentiful and great service. Overall, we acheived what we came for, a week to recharge our batteries.

One of the first resorts in Greece and familiar setting in Greek movies of ‘60’s and 70’s, it has been transformed to a modern resort, retaining its charm and the vintage elements. Tucked in a secluded area, overlooking Hydra, the most (if only) practical way to be approached is by private car. Although relatively small in size, it offers a great variety of activities and amenities, in its well-maintained facilities, scattered amidst the fascinating surroundings. On the other side, the beach is nice enough, but not its strong spot, surely. The rooms are spacious, airy and well equipped, although conventional and inconsistent -as if the renovation is still ongoing. The same impression is given by the common areas, with the exception of the main building, which is elegant and sleek. We have had the opportunity to check the catering options on several occasions and they ‘ve been far above average, with plenty of freshly prepared choices throughout the day, continuously replenished to make sure all the patrons (of all ages) are served. A special mention to the service, which has been, in all circumstances, eager to assist and flexible enough to meet the needs of the clientele.

Πέρασα μια πολύ δυσάρεστη εμπειρία.Εξαιτίας του περιστατικού που υπέστη, αναγκάστηκα να παρατείνω τη διαμονή μου στο ξενοδοχείο για μία ακόμα νύχτα μέχρι να αναρρώσω. Ο υπεύθυνος υποστήριξε ότι πρόκειται για μια ιογενή γαστρεντερίτιδα που “κυκλοφορούσε” από κάποιους τουρίστες, ενώ ο γιατρός που με εξέτασε μού επιβεβαίωσε πως πρόκειται ξεκάθαρα για τροφική δηλητηρίαση – όπως συνέβη και σε άλλα άτομα εκεί και αποδείχθηκε λάθος.Επίσης, έμαθα και περσινά περιστατικά με πρώην υπάλληλο του ξενοδοχείου ο οποίος έπαθε τροφική δηλητηρίαση και αυτός. Πραγματικά κρίμα, γιατί είχα επιλέξει αυτό το ξενοδοχείο αρκετές φορές στο παρελθόν λόγω των πολύ καλών εγκαταστάσεων του. Αν σκέφτεστε να το επισκεφθείτε, θα πρότεινα να αποφύγετε το All Inclusive, αλλά λόγω της δύσκολης τοποθεσίας που βρίσκεται θα ταλαιπωρηθείτε να πηγαινοέρχεστε για τα γεύματα σας.
