The room was very run down. Curtains had holes in them. Walls were in bad condition. Just no sense in rooms loomi g that way.

My husband and I stayed at the GuestHouse for almost a week. What a lovely place it is! It's right in the middle of town, walking distance to everything, and the room was a generous size, and very comfortable. The staff was excellent! There was a lovely continental breakfast every morning, and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! We would both highly recommend the GuestHouse to anyone!!!

The rooms are clean and fine. Nothing special for the price charged. The front desk people were very nice and polite. Unhappy with: Only one washcloth in the whole place. I was here exactly 1 year ago and it was a slightly better stay . Breakfast is breads, cereal and Activia yogurt (yuk) and juice ( Tang?) and milk. Would it kill ya to offer some fresh fruit? We put the do not disturb sign out at 8am. An hour before check out, a female housekeeper with limited English POUNDED ON THE DOOR, attempted to open it with her key and asked if we were ready to check out. What?? Oh…. The only ice machine is on the second floor. No elevator. So if you’re handicapped, too bad. They could improve in so many ways. The basic rule of hospitality is quite literally “How would I like to be treated if I were a paying guest staying at this establishment?”

This guest house might not be the newest or modern but the owners are wonderful. We were there for a family visit which ended with a death in the family. The owners and staff were so unbelievably great with us continuing our say. The rooms are a nice size and clean and the housekeeping staff always were friendly and helpful with anything we needed. I definitely would recommend this guesthouse for your next stay

Location is great. Property feels aged. Cool to have a restaurant on site. Wish they had an elevator because I had to carry some really heavy items up to the second floor.

Of the two sinks in the bathroom, the right-hand one was almost completely plugged up and drained VERY slowly, rendering it almost unusable. Second, the double bed on the right side of the room was EXTREMELY saggy and unstable. Must have some broken support or something beneath.

Used this as a base to get to nearby Crystal Mountain for a ski trip on a budget. Location was great ~50 mins to get to the mountain.
Hotel itself is simple enough but dated (not a problem just a fact), was clean enough.
Basic included breakfast: cereals, yoghurts, sliced bread/english muffins, waffle maker, tea/coffee/juice
Only negative was that breakfast was not ready on Sunday at the advertised 6am start so the few early riser guests had to rummage around the breakfast area to try and find something to eat and turn the appliances on etc.
