📍 National Park, Ol, Amboseli

"We had a great time during our Christmas holiday. The service was excellent and the food great. Amazing team and very friendly 👏"

Kilima Safari Camp

Kilima Safari Camp ★★★★★

📍 79HM+49, Mombasa Road, Amboseli

"Three times a day, a wonderful buffet with a huge selection is served amidst beautiful natural surroundings, right by the gate to Amboseli National Park. Animals frequently visit, and with a bit of luck, you might even spot giraffes at the entrance. The view from the tower stretches across the vast landscape all the way to Kilimanjaro. The service is excellent, with personalized attention at the table – we could have easily stayed longer! Just a word of caution regarding the laundry service – the quality is top-notch, but the prices are exorbitant – be sure to check beforehand."

Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli ★★★★

📍 Kitirua Conservancy, Amboseli

"Located inside Amboseli National Park, Tortilis camp is an oasis of calm. It’s worth mentioning how ideal the location is; if you leave the camp to go out on a game drive, you are immediately in the depths of Amboseli and waste no time travelling to the animals. We stayed here for two nights of a seven night trip on safari, and this camp was the pick of the bunch. The staff are incredibly attentive and kind. The rooms were meticulously cared for. The food is perfect. Special shout out to Nikolene, Allan, Chris and Johnson who made the stay perfect. The view of kilimanjaro is amazing. We loved spending our evenings here after a long day out on safari. We will visit other elewana camps after this experience!"

Ol Tukai Lodge Amboseli ★★★★★

📍 Airstrip, Iloodokilani Off Kajiado/Namanga Rd, Amboseli

"Our stay at Ol Tukai was amazing! From the accommodations, the amenities, the food, and most importantly the safari views were spectacular. Our stay was made extra special by our server Abby and Bartender Caroline. It was truly a family trip for the books. I highly recommend"

Tawi Lodge

Tawi Lodge ★★★★★

📍 Tawi Conservancy, Amboseli

"We stayed here for 50th birthday celebrations and it was perfect. We had 4 nights here and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage’s we’re beautiful and you felt like you were camping put had the luxury of a hotel. Rooms were beautiful, large bed with mosquito net. Loverly bathroom with views of the waterhole. They offer free laundry service back same day. We had the waterhole straight in front of our room and saw lots of animals even a massive elephant. Pool is very clean, had a massage which was good. Food and drink all included and it was excellent. Staff were very friendly and very attentive. Game drives were good. Would highly recommend"

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge ★★★★
"We stayed here for one night with the family. While the lodge benefits from being located inside Amboseli National Park, overall we were not too impressed compared to some of the other places we stayed during our trip. The property is quite large, with many rooms and guests, which took away from the safari lodge feel. The buffet, especially at dinner, was very crowded and we often had to stand in long lines for food, which wasn’t ideal after a day of game drives. The rooms felt a bit outdated, and the design could be improved — for example, the ceiling fan was not positioned above the bed, which made cooling less effective. The food was another disappointment; we found both the quality and the menu selection below expectations for a lodge of this scale and reputation. Overall, the stay was acceptable mainly because of the location inside the park. However, if we were to visit Amboseli again, we would likely choose a smaller, more intimate camp or lodge for a better safari experience."

Kilima Safari Camp ★★★★★
"Amboseli is a hotel with relatively high cost performance. The hotel's observation deck offers a direct view of Mount Kilimanjaro and the grasslands below, providing a wide view. The rooms are also quite spacious."

Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli ★★★★
"We had an incredible stay at Elewana Tortilis Camp, starting from the moment our plane touched down at the Amboseli airstrip. Our guide, Joseph, greeted us warmly and immediately turned our transfer into a game drive where we spotted elephants and lions before even reaching camp. The camp itself is beautiful, with stunning views of a nearby watering hole and Mt. Kilimanjaro, and we were welcomed with genuine hospitality and a thoughtful orientation. The game drives were a highlight of our entire Kenya safari. Joseph was the best guide we had on our trip—knowledgeable, patient, and passionate. He taught us about animal behavior, tracking, and the importance of reading the landscape. We were able to get close to elephants (including several big tuskers), hyenas, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and many more species. The conservancy drives allowed us to go off road, and one unforgettable moment was watching hyenas and lions share a meal. Joseph’s expertise and optimism made every outing exceptional. Our tented room was extremely comfortable, with morning refresh service and evening turn down. Nights were chilly, but the warm blankets kept us cozy. One standout feature was the drinking water spigot in the bathroom, which made it easy to stay hydrated. Wi Fi worked well in the tent, and daily laundry service was a great convenience, with soap provided for any hand washing. The food was consistently delicious, with creative and authentic Kenyan dishes ordered from a daily menu. Our waiter, William, was wonderful, once he learned our preferences, he anticipated everything we needed. Dining with views of the watering hole and Kilimanjaro was unforgettable, and one afternoon we even watched an elephant wander down for a drink while we ate. The staff made our stay truly special. Joseph (guide), William (waiter), Keyamu (butler), and Phillip (manager) all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. We also loved the Bush Breakfast experience, complete with fresh omelets in the middle of nature and even a “loo with a view.” On our final night, the team surprised me with a beautiful table set under the stars and a celebratory cake—they sang, laughed with us, and made it a moment I’ll never forget. Tortilis Camp is perfect for families and couples looking for exceptional guiding, warm hospitality, and beautiful scenery. I would absolutely stay here again and am so grateful for the experience."

Ol Tukai Lodge Amboseli ★★★★★
"I found the food okay, but the room was where I had an issue. It was incredibly hot and what didn’t help was the ceiling fan was outside of the mosquito nets and was thus ineffective. Out of my 8 day safari, I slept the worst here and sweat so much. In hindsight, I should have asked for a fan. I had no issues with the room but not being able to sleep properly and it being hot was a huge let down and one that would make me not return. Also, upon checking in, I found the front desk not polite. I had given my passport to the lady and she didn’t return it. I then said to her that she didn’t give me my passport to which she responded yes I did. She then looked down and realised she hadn’t gave it to me and slammed it on the desk when my hand was stretched out. The front desk staff I found very stand offish and cold but the dining staff were much friendlier."

Tawi Lodge ★★★★★
"Tawi Lodge is a beautiful safari experience! You’re welcomed from the start with warm hand towels and a considerate staff. All personnel are anxious to assist and ensure you have the best experience. The facility blends perfectly into the landscape - open air restaurant area so you can watch giraffes, elephants, zebras, and other wildlife at the watering hole just beyond the pool. Our cottage was so well appointed - very spacious, comfortable beds, huge bathrooms and a private plunge pool on the deck. Watching the wildlife from our bed, back patio, and living area was incredible! Great food options, always walked away content and cared for. Unique experience that set Tawi apart - a walking safari outside the lodge gates to a bonfire sundowner looking at Kilimanjaro. Roasting marshmallows as the sun sets through the acacia trees was unforgettable. Amboseli was a great start to our safari - elephants and giraffes just outside our vehicle. Gazelle everywhere and an incredible guide to tell us about everything. We loved our time at Tawi and would love to go back!"
