Checked in with Jeff very easy yet not very personable. Amenities extra $15/day even if you’re not using. Gym pool spa internet parking buffet breakfast. No disability parking in front door entrance only back (which was to far away from room) no help offered with luggage (only self service heavy push carts) Did not ask if I wanted help or if I was going to utilize these amenities.
Room smelled of heavy use chemicals to clean room. (Could taste it).
Ocean view claim with balcony was actually only seen if you walked and peered to the left.
Bed not the most comfortable. Exit room door would slam at night very loud.
Walk in tile shower floor slippery while showering and shower head had very low pressure.

Stayed here with my dad during the Holiday's (late 2024) for 3 nights. We got the 2-bed suite and it was excellent considering the price and the proximity to the beach (3-4 minute walk to Moonlight Beach), and the 101 dining/shopping district. The hotel is an older hotel, with sort of an 80's vibe last time I stayed maybe 5 years ago. It appears that the rooms have been re-freshed and was pleasantly surprised. We didn't spend a ton of time in the room, but the way out balcony was facing northwest, we had a good vantage point of the sun setting into the Pacific. About the only grip my Dad had was the lack of lounge chair on the balcony, to enjoy the view. Would stay again. Thanks VJ!

Amazing views, very comfortable rooms
The view was absolutely stunning. We were surprised to see how close we were to the train station, and often heard the trains going off. The patio has a beautiful view of the beach and sunset. The swimming pool area looks very nice as well.

This was my first time booking at this hotel. Check in process was smooth at the front desk and the room was very spacious and roomy with a comfy bed! I also enjoyed the view outside with options for dark curtains which I loved to make the room darker so I could sleep better. Continental breakfast they provided was delicious filled with different options such as pastries, yogurt, oatmeal and even eggs cooked as omelet one day and next day was sunny side up! I would highly recommend staying here

I really liked the patio view and comfort of a king size bed and clean sheets.
Dislikes: stinky sewage water from showers, and alot of stains on chairs and couches. Blood stains.
Staff: friendly and housekeeper do a great job.

Thank you for micro in the lounge. I was not expecting train horns to be so loud and long (around 20 seconds). Horns sound at 10:30 pm nightly.

We had an air conditioner problem and maintenance came and fixed it without a problem. They came back to check it was still working. They were excellent. The cleaning staff was very nice as well.
