A lovely guest house in a nice spot by the river. Rooms very clean and the bed super comfortable. The room wasn’t super massive but got an LCD television, a couple of comfy chairs, power sockets with USB outlets and the shower room was spotless too

Lovely boutique b and b in excellent location , recently refurbished to a very high spec. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Unfortunately it lacks a human touch. Everything is geared towards self service. Breakfast buffet is ok but hot options left on warm plate so very over cooked. Owner when appears avoids contact at all costs. One parking space often double booked so parking would be a problem in busy periods. Just a few tweaks could make this so much better.

Definitely 5 stars for quality of fittings and location. Excellent breakfast. Managed to reserve the only parking space which was a bonus. We could hear the people above walking on the floor but otherwise a perfect stay

We visited the riverside Inn on 18 Oct 25 for one night. On arrival, we parked in the car park at the rear. We gained access to our room which was upstairs, on entering the room, we were very impressed by the decor and amenities that were provided, very clean and high spec, lovely, comfortable bed and pillows and a loverly shower in the morning. We got up Sunday morning in readiness, and looking forward to a lovery relaxing breakfast, to set us up for the day, we arrived down in the breakfast room at 9:10am, to be met by one of the staff members who looked very shocked at us when we walked in? I felt very uncomfortable, and felt like they had done something wrong !, This was a Sunday morning, and I had taken my wife away for our anniversary weekend, there wasn't a choice for Hot breakfast, only what was available? Which was scrambled, egg, sausage, bacon, and tomato. there was no other choice of egg available, my wife is a vegan, and unfortunately, there wasn't any choice for her, apart from a small bowl of fruit salad and bread, oh and soya milk (luckily) for her tea, whilst we were eating breakfast the waitress made a point, saying, ' you must be out by 9.30am ' , I asked if I could have some toast and she shrugged her shoulders at me ?, which again, made us feel not welcome and very uncomfortable, and not acceptable, especially on a sunday morning, I then decided to take my coffee upstairs to the room to prepare for our departure, which again we felt was early for a sunday morning, 10am ! In all the places that we have stayed, we have not experienced this before, we paid quite a considerable amount of money for the room, for 1 night £140.00. We also felt that the lady who served us wasn't friendly and bluntly told us breakfast was over at 9.30am, we felt very rushed and the experience for us wasn't a good one, we stay in a lot of places at weekends and this was one of the worst experiences we had experienced for breakfast, and we felt this overall spoiled our anniversary weekend away. We won't be recommending this place to any friends or family.

I stayed at the Riverside Inn one night in March 2025. As I approached the building I was struck by how well-maintained the exterior was, painted in clean and crisp cream with not a blemish in sight. The view from my upstairs window at the front of the house was a dream. There was a mature tree a few metres away and beyond that the river Great Ouse with all manner of house boats moored on the opposite bank. Right next door to the inn is the Urban Fresh restaurant. I didn’t eat there but I am told that it is first rate. And about 150 metres distant is the Cutter Inn. Both the pub and restaurant have big terraces with tables right by the river’s side. I would imagine that in summer it must be a very jolly sight indeed. Inside the Riverside Inn everything was neat and tidy and beautifully decorated. The carpets looked brand new. Access to the inn was through a PIN which I was sent by email the afternoon beforehand. I don’t think all the rooms are en suite but mine (number 3) was. There was plenty of room in the bathroom with lots of surfaces to lay out bits and pieces. On the pillows of the double bed were two squares of chocolate, a nice gesture. I had a breakfast date with a friend the next day but paused in the dining room to have a croissant and coffee before departure to test the water. I noticed scrambled eggs and crisp bacon on offer for breakfast. It all looked fine. Coffee was served by a helpful young lady. All in all, the Riverside Inn is a little gem and in just the right position.

Poor first impression on entering the car park, it was like a junk yard. Thankfully the room was very clean albeit very small. Limited space to out anything, for example in the shower, nowhere to put soap, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The overbearing perfume smell on entering the very small bedroom was too much. We felt it was overpriced and we would not return, there was no staff in sight, no welcome other than a text.
