Palm Park Hotel ★★★
"This hotel is a gem in Lephalale. Its conveniently located an hour over the SA and Botswana boarder & still close enough to Jhb. It has great facilities and a fantastic restaurant on site."
Palala Boutique Game Lodge and Spa ★★★★★
"The level of service is truly above and beyond, the attention to detail is impeccable, the quality of food, decor, staff, surroundings, furnishings and offerings is more than 5-Star. What a phenomenal experience. Luxury and Beauty. Pampering and Opulence. Nature and Elegance. BEST !!!"
Eco Lodge ★★★
"BEWARE - Cozy Lodge has serious deteriorated, with little to no service and regard for the paying customer. Weekends has turned into a local hangout with loud obnoxious music into early morning hours, drunken behavior, no offer to enjoy breakfast (unless lucky to be escom), zero security with gates open all night, etc. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING! It raises the question, why would the owners allow this with zero revenue generated due to no bar, so bring your own, have a party, all at the cost with no regard to the paying customers/accommodation. Will not recommend nor be back."
Prisatt Boutique Hotel
"I had bad service from manager because they did not want to provide me with dinner while mi voucher was with dinner "
Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa ★★★★★
"Our stay at Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa was, without question, the most incredible vacation our family has ever taken. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. The lodge itself is beautiful, warm, inviting, and the perfect place to relax between game drives. The villas were exceptionally comfortable, immaculately maintained, and equipped with every luxury imaginable. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, and thoughtful touches such as complimentary laundry service, bug spray, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath salts, cotton balls, Q-tips, room spray, slippers, bathrobes, and even a pillow menu ensured every detail was taken care of. The food was simply outstanding. Much of it comes directly from the farm, and you can truly taste the freshness in every bite. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and made with genuine love and care. One of the most unique features of Mhondoro is the underground hide overlooking the waterhole. Being able to watch wildlife from water level is an experience unlike anything else. It provided some of our favorite moments of the trip. As incredible as that was, nothing topped the excitement of having elephants visit the villa. During our six-night stay, elephants came to drink from our pool on three separate evenings! This is an experience our family will never forget!! Welgevonden Game Reserve is breathtaking. With nearly 100,000 acres of diverse landscapes, every game drive felt like a new adventure. The animals have plenty of room to roam, which makes every sighting feel truly special and rewarding. But what makes Mhondoro extraordinary is its people. Our guides, Ryan and Hein, were knowledgeable, passionate, personable, and incredibly talented at helping us understand and appreciate the wildlife around us. The chefs, housekeeping team, and front-of-house staff were equally exceptional. A special thank you to Isaac, Jacob, Opa, Sam, David, Maggie and Reneè for making us feel so welcomed throughout our stay. We traveled as a group of 11 ranging in age from 12 to 80. My mother has mobility challenges, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure she could participate in and enjoy every experience she wanted. Their kindness and attentiveness meant the world to our family. During our stay, we celebrated three birthdays and an anniversary. Each celebration was made to feel uniquely special, with the staff putting so much thought and effort into every detail. It wasn’t just hospitality, it felt personal. What is hardest to put into words is how deeply the team at Mhondoro cares about their guests. They didn’t simply respond to our needs and requests, they anticipated them. Time and time again, they thought of things before we ever had to ask. Whether it was ensuring my mother was comfortable, remembering our preferences, helping coordinate special celebrations, or simply noticing the little details that make a stay extraordinary, their l"
Sediba Luxury Safari Lodge ★★★★★
"We stayed at Rock Lodge for a weekend and it was too short, we wished we could have stayed longer. The lodge is stunning, the biggest suites we have ever stayed in. I large lounge area, private deck with a Jacuzzi, huge bed and bathroom. The game drives and game viewing was great but the best part was the friendly, helpful, and happy staff that could not do enough to make our stay special. Thank you Nadia and team!"
57 Waterberg ★★★★★
"second time we have stayed at 57 Waterberg and the experience is magical! Game viewing is superb, food is outstanding and management and staff are the best!"
Marataba Mountain Lodge ★★★★
"Left Marataba mountain lodge this morning and already missing this incredibly magical place. The scenery is breathtaking, and the lodges themselves highly appointed with the most incredible view down the valley. We feel incredibly lucky to have had Wonder, tracker extradonaire, as our guide throughout. With his eyes and experience we saw the most wonderful sights, including close encounters with Cheetah, lion, rhino, elephant, giraffe and even a pangolin and African wild cat. For a first ever dream Safari, it couldn't be beaten! Special thanks also to the cheerful Kaden (Miss Mara river cruise), kind Poloko who served us delicious food and wine, and the very lovely Ayanda. Hope to return one day"

Makweti Safari Lodge
"The place is beautiful, very well located inside Welgevonden nature reserve, the design of the lodge is very well done as well as the decoration, which invites to relax and appreciate the beautiful landscape. The staff was very kind and our guide Joseph was very well prepared for the game drives were fantastic, spotted almost 30 kind of animals, including the big five several times. Unforgettable experience for our kids too. The food was also delicious and a good experience to try some ingredients from the zone."
Nedile Lodge
"Nedilenis a great lodge, nicely situated in the Welgevonden Reserve. Design, look and feel are very nice and warm, however it’s the team that truly brings it alive. The service is one step beyond excellent and it’s all done with passion and a smile. The chef is passionate about the food, the ranger is next level knowledge and passion, but in the end it’s the fun and laughter that made the magic happen. Pampering has a new name: Nedile"
Ndlovu Safari Lodge
"I can’t speak more highly of this beautiful lodge and its beautiful people. Farai guided us extremely well, showcasing the best of Welgevonden in such an interesting way. Zack was one of the best waiters we’ve ever encountered. And the housecleaning staff leave the rooms so clean and comfortable. The food was delicious, the owners gracious - I really can’t say anything negative. In the end though, it was the small touches that made all the difference. The hot water bottles in your bed at night and handed to you before morning game drives. The way Zack and Jan would pop outside every now and then during dinner service to let you know if any nocturnal animals were hanging about outside. And the way you were greeted back to lodge after every game drive by the beating of a drum. On top of that, the decor in the lodge was exquisite, the bed the most comfy bed we have ever slept in, and the animal sightings were excellent. I also really need the recipe for the game drive muesli slice. It was a long way for us to travel all the way from New Zealand, but I’m already hoping we’ll be able to return in the near future. Thanks to the Ndlovu team for such a perfect stay."
Sekala Private Game Lodge
"Great location in the middle of Welgevonden Game Reserve. Great stuff, Great Ranger. The food was amazing and the rooms were big. We‘ve seen so many animals on our Game Drive. "
Laluka Safari Lodge
"This place is top notch. I'd say I've been to dozens of lodges in my life and this is in the top few of best lodges to stay at on safari. Our driver/game ranger was super! We saw so much game: lions, rhinos, cheetahs!!! Our 5 year old was totally taken care of. The culinary delight was top notch as well. Food sourcing was like no other place with their operation running a full farm across from the reserve. This is unparalleled in the world. Staff is amazing. Love this place."
