We had 2 nights in Hotel Onrock. It's a nice hotel and the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable. The breakfast was good. The only thing is that the hotel is located quite high up, and the walk-up is very steep. Other than that, all was good.

Definitely gotta be one of the best hotels in Ella, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, and the view is even better, I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Ella

Great hotel, with unbeatable view of Ella rock on the balcony. However the room did not have universal plug sockets, the hotel provided a hairdryer but did not fit the plug socket. It is also very difficult to get to with suitcases. Fine if you’re backpacking, but carrying suitcases up the massive hill is very difficult. Perhaps the hotel should look into purchasing their own tuktuk to ferry customers up and down the hill. Not everyone is a backpacker!

Amazing hotel just 5 min walk from the Main Street with bars and restaurants,view is awesome !!!🤩 love this place ,breakfast is nice as well

The hotel is excellent, everything you need in the room is there, even slippers, furniture and plumbing have been updated. It is located near the street with restaurants, 5 minutes down the hill. Walking to the start of the trail to the nine-arch bridge is about 20 minutes. We had a room with a stunning view, mountains and a waterfall are visible from the window. Good place for the price/quality ratio

I often asked for sandwiches at 6am, but the front desk didn't inform the kitchen, so I was in a hurry. However, the kitchen staff made them efficiently and prepared a delicious sandwich in 5 minutes. I am grateful. The location is a very narrow and steep slope, so I think it's not good for a big car, but I think that heavy people can't climb it. It's a perfect location because it's a 5-minute walk to the chill restaurant. I definitely recommend getting a room with a view, not the mountain river.

Nice hotel. They provide slippers and dental kits, which is rare for Sri Lanka. Very polite staff. We stayed in a room with and without a view. The cheapest room will be with a view of the construction site.

But I really can’t help but complain about this hotel. First of all, the actual hotel room is completely different from the photos on the website. They are completely different places (unfortunately, I was in a hurry and forgot to take pictures). Secondly, both the hardware facilities and the overall space comfort in the room are extremely poor, and there are numerous problems, big and small. For example: when entering the room, there was half a kettle of water left in the kettle; the height of the bathroom was 10 centimeters higher than the room, so I almost tripped; the room had no air conditioning and was stuffy and hot; the lights were dim; the basin faucet It was not fixed and rickety; although the room was equipped with a hair dryer, there was no working socket, so I could only sleep with wet hair after washing my hair at night, and so on.
