Upon walking into our room, we noticed there is no comforter & no blanket on the bed. There is nothing I haven’t seen & it takes a lot to surprise me, but this did surprised me. They had an empty duvet cover on the bed with pockets to tuck the blanket in, but no duvet, no comforter, no blanket. I immediately went back downstairs & the front desk gentleman who checked us in explained to me that they don’t put blankets on the bed during this season, but it should be one in a closet. He was very nice & it wasn’t his fault. I asked if he could give me a king size blanket, preferably clean, just in case there is no blanket in the closet. He gave me one & I went back up & looked in the closet. The usual white duvet was there & was due for washing or cleaning, so it was a good thing he gave me one. I didn’t feel like making the bed & putting duvet into duvet cover’s pockets, so we just used the blanket without duvet. This is unacceptable. Whoever is in charge of making the decisions there, should make sure that the beds are made prior to guests arrival. Leaving an empty duvet cover without a duvet in it should not be happening, regardless of what season it is. Another issue was the low water pressure in a shower. It’s time to change the shower head. Shower had plenty of hot water in it, so we were able to take a shower, but there is no way to adjust the water pressure. It just splashing your face. Change the shower heads, get appropriate size fitted sheets that don’t come off the mattress & start making beds with duvet tucked into the duvet cover, please. This is the least I expect for the cost of the room. Also kids running up & down hallway & pushing the elevator button should not be allowed. We won’t return, but fyi, there is a cold pool that I didn’t use & there is no hot tub, which I knew prior to booking. To their credit, they are honest about it & don’t advertise a hot tub. Breakfast was typical Hampton fare & when I alerted front desk lady about hazelnut creamer container being empty, she promptly restocked it.
