I stay in a Marriott every week in this city. Last night I checked into my room, and it was very damp and smelled terrible. There was a dirty maintenance towel on my bathroom floor. I went down to the front desk and asked for a different room, and I was told that they were sold out and there were no other rooms. No attempt to resolve the issue with the room, it was either put up with the room (and any dirty linens) or I could leave. Which I did - and moved to a much nice Hilton Home2Home in the same parking lot. I would highly recommend choosing that over this hotel. They couldn't even process my cancellation on this room. The person at the desk couldn't even give me the contact info for the GM.

The hotel is filthy. Carpets throughout are stained. Tile floors are in desperate need of sweeping. Trash in the elevator. Rooms are outdated, dirty furniture and mold in the bathtub. No daily housekeeping must apply to the entire hotel and not just the rooms. Given the condition of the hotel, we didn’t dare eat the breakfast. Never again!

Newish building, clean, well maintained. Spacious 2 queen room with fridge. Nice bath. Front desk called 1 hour after we checked in to be sure we had everything we needed. Convenient location, lots of parking. Good breakfast spread. Near restaurants

We liked our stay at the Fairfield Inn in Elkhart IN. It had the features we all want: clean rooms, comfortable beds, good linens, ample parking, and wi fi. Breakfast had some hot items. Our one suggestion is to add hot chocolate to the the coffee bar. Note it's a 5-10 minute drive to I-90.

One of the best!
I arrived on friday for the weekend to visit family. The staffwas amazing and very friendly. I had a room with a king bed. Really the first thing i noticed was how clean it was. I normally always wear slippers because carpet always feels icky. I walked across the room with bare feet and the carpet was soft and felt clean. The bathroom was so clean i couldn't find a speck of dirt anywhere. The only things i thought needed to be addressed is the fact that the light in the bathroom is extremely dim. Thats especially difficult for a woman putting on makeup and doing her hair. I imahine it wouldn't be that great for a man shaving either.
There was a bit of paint peeling around the edge of the window.
One other thing i was very disappointed about was how extremely small the pool was for a hotel of that size. I like to swim laps and seriously if i took 3 or 4 strokes i would have gone from one end to the other. It really was ridiculously small.
But even with that i would rate it as a 10. The bed was so comfortable and it was very quiet.
