De kamer was middelmaat maar zeker niet slecht. Goede airco, prima bedden, veel ruimte alleen de badkamer is behelpen. Locatie is top, mooie tuin en aan het meer. Restaurant was goed, vriendelijk personeel, en een mooie tijd gehad. Alles is in de buurt zodat je met de voet wat boodschappen kunt doen. In de tuin is de Maya kalender uitgebeeld.

Lugar adecuado si se quiere compartir con la naturaleza, y desconectarse de la monotonía. Muy natural, cerca está el lago Petén Itza; en frente hay un parque para los pequeños. La comida muy adecuada en sus porciones y más en relación de valor. Al rededor hay diferentes tipos de comercios.

We enjoyed the beautiful garden where we watched birds after guided walks in Tikal and another ancient Maya site. We especially appreciated the restaurant on site. I recommend the stuffed squash for dinner and Mayan eggs for breakfast. We watched several species of birds feast on bananas that staff at affixed on wires. Our little cottage was snug, secure and quiet. Staff secured a knowledgeable guide for our trips to the ruins.

Beautiful property beside Lake Petén Itzá with comfortable, air conditioned, rooms, and great, friendly, service. Owner, David, has many years of experience in the tourism business in this region, and he's a deep well of stories. His large Ceiba tree, the centerpiece of his property, is a tribute to Mayan tradition, and he manages his grounds to attract a nice variety of birds.

Je n'ai pas logé dans cet hôtel, mais y ai dîné un soir. Le personnel s'est montré très aimable et accueillant. La carte était assez variée et il est à noter que plusieurs options végétariennes figuraient au menu. Le service a été assez rapide et mon plat était bon. Le cadre du restaurant est agréable et l'ambiance est conviviale. Les prix étaient très abordables.

Stayed here with my daughter. On our way there she got sick. The staff were so helpfull; I could have dinner in my room where she was asleep, they suggested some light medicine that worked wonders and helped her with special food. Apart from this the location is wonderful, the view spectaculair, spacious rooms with a porch, easy and fast transport to Tikal (far better option toen Flores) and you can swim in the lake from the jetty next to the hotel. Must do when in the area!

While I admit I didn't stay in the hotel, I must say that the restaurant was a very nice touch. The staff were very receptive and David, the owner, was very nice to talk to. I would most definitely come back here again, and maybe this time, spend the night at the hotel.

I stayed at La Casa de Don David in 1995, and it was an awesome place to stay while visiting Tikal. It's away from the chaos of Flores, and close to the ruins. I'm so happy to see that it is still going strong!

Comederos muy ingeniosos para aves lo cual te permite ver las diferentes y coloridas aves del lugar ,habitaciones muy sencillas pero con lo indispensable para dormir ahi
