My buddy from Brazil and I stayed Amancay for three nights. While my buddy is from Brazil and I’m from NYC. Our expectations were different. I heard the word “hostel” and was worried. The phrase “never judge a book by its cover” can be applied here. What a fantastic place to stay. Cleaned room every day, comfortable beds, and simple bathroom with a fantastic shower after a long day. Centrally located, complemented with a nice simple breakfast I was very pleased with my stay. Christin the GM/owner is very friendly, warm, and helpful. An outstanding place to stay on your trip to El Calafate.

Perfecto para dormir y descansar después de hacer excursiones,limpio, bien ubicado a pocas cuadras del centro. El desayuno esta bastante bien, todo casero, con jugo de naranja natural, tostadas y cosas dulces. Si buscas pagar poco, que en calafate es dificil, este es un buen sitio.
