South B&B El Calafate

I was at this hotel with a price agreed before the trip, the value in pesos was one, but when I arrived the owner did not accept the value that was in the reservation that I had made just 20 days ago and wanted to charge 40% more, after talking so much , he only accepted if we paid in cash, this is because there are 2 values ​​in the reservation, one is in pesos which is much cheaper and the other in dollars... when you enter he wants to charge you in dollars, which means a much higher value, and Argentina doesn't have any money anymore, and we spent 2 hours in line at the Western Union to withdraw money and the guy who was going to bring the bag informed everyone in line that the Bank of Argentina has no currency to send to the agency in El Calafate, so my stay, which was supposed to be 1200.00 reais, ended up being 2000.00 reais on the card. The owner is a fraudster, and charges everyone the same way, because while we were at the reception, another couple arrived with the same problem and then another group of 6 people with the same thing, but the group got along well because they had cash. He didn't even let us put our bags in the room while we went to change, that is, all our valuables were left in the hotel corridor without any security. I don't advise anyone to come to this hotel, bad experience and scam. They even charge 400 pesos for hot water for chimarrão, tea or if a baby needs it, which is absurd. The towels are not changed for 3 days and are the size of a hand towel and are made of pure polyester, it feels like you are drying yourself with a plastic bag. The pillows are horrible. Only 2 good things: The view is beautiful and the man who works there is very helpful and nice. Now the owner who works at the reception... doesn't even do the minimum to serve a customer...

Estábamos alojados en una casa cerca de este hotel y para el viaje a El Chaten nos pidieron que esperáramos allí solo como punto de encuentro. Éramos 2 adultos y 3 niños. Durante 2 minutos nos quedamos en el lobby de la entrada del hotel porque hacía mucho frío, solo 8 grados. El propietario del hotel UNFriendly simplemente nos pidió que nos fuéramos y esperáramos en la calle porque no nos estábamos quedando allí. De todas formas ya sé que en mi próximo viaje a El Calfate esta nunca será una opción de alojamiento.

O Quarto tem uma vista maravilhosa, boa cama e bom espaço interno. Café da manhã era simples porém muito bom, feito na hora. Atendimento nota 10, sempre ajudando em tudo. Como fica poderiam apenas trocar as toalhas diariamente e deixar um tapete de banheiro.

E hotel además de estar super bien ubicado, esta muy bien! Atendido por su dueños super amables, te explican y recomiendan lugares y te ayudan con las excursiones. Mi hija olvido su mochila y se encargaron de alcanzárnosla. El desayuno es increíble y super completo. Lo super recomiendo

Lo tiene todo. Buena ubicacion (cerca del centro), hermosa vista (de ve el lago desde las habitaciones y el desayunador), todas las instalaciones muy limpias, las habitaciones son muy comodas (muy buenas camas y ducha) y el desayuno (las viandas tambien) es muy completo. Junto a la atencion de Lucia y Javier (amables, simpaticos, estan en todos los detalles, etc), supero toda expectativa!!!

Check-in is not possible if an additional tax of 21% of the accommodation fee is not paid, and the owner told customers who wanted to check in with children to cancel their reservations. When I arrived at the airport without having lunch with the kids, the kids were too hungry to look for somewhere else and call a taxi, so I had no choice but to pay the tax and check in. The owner is very upset because he yelled at the customer for having dirt on his towel and told the employee to call the police. I asked what was on it and said I would wash it, but the answer I got was that I had to pay a fine. The staff had no power to make any decisions and were intimidated. You will need to contact both owners and get a decision. The windows, doors, toilet, and blankets are all old, and the beds and floors make noise. It was worse than the pictures shown on the site. I think it's an exaggerated advertisement. If you are a non-Argentine citizen, you must indicate that a 21% tax is included in the cost of your stay when making your reservation. It was the worst trip and I truly felt the owner ignored me.
