We stayed here for 2 nights and loved this rustic hotel. We stayed in the Catherine Parr suite, which had a stunning design. I loved everything about it, from a great comfy four poster bed to fluffy towels, robes and good water pressure in the large shower. There was also a beautiful copper bath. The only downside was the breakfast service. I would expect barista coffee made to order at least. Instead we had to queue for one 'Dr Coffee' machine which didn't make very nice Coffee. On the first morning we had an ok breakfast although the selection was below average. I'm all for not wasting food by having too much on offer but this was minimal. I didn't know if you could get poached eggs to order because there seemed to be no menu. I had scrambled eggs when they came out but there was a scramble for them! The second morning on account of the rubbidh coffee from Dr Coffee I opted for tea. This time there were no tea pots, no sugar lumps and no milk pots. I asked for all the above and was given whole milk (yuck). I felt awkward asking for semi skimmed and just asked for oat milk. The coffee machine gave up so my husband got a lovely cappuccino from behind the bar. During this carry on there was one man in a suit run off his feet and the room wasn't full at this point. The staff were nice but a rare species! If we stay again we will go for breakfast elsewhere.

We had a lovely stay at the Mitre. The location is great. The room was lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast, which had a good selection of hot and cold options, with a great river view. We will definitely be back!

Alina on reception is without a doubt is the most beautiful person inside and out. Nothing was too much trouble and always done with a smile. We were there to celebrate our 30th anniversary and we were treated like royalty. From Blaze in the carpark and the staff in 1665 restaurant. Alison was so lovely and they have 2 wonderful lads working there I think one was Joe don’t know the other but they were the perfect serving duo. The food was exceptional. We treated ourselves and were not disappointed. We were in the king Henry suite which is phenomenal. Beautiful views of the river and of Hampton Court. The service we received. The luxury of the room were exceptional. Thank you for making our special day so memorable and even more memorable than the actual wedding itself.

Stayed at The Mitre for just 1 night. Everything was perfect. Without exception, every member of staff was friendly and professional. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of wine which we drank on the lovely terrace in the sunshine whilst our bags were taken to our room. We were staying in room 111 The Weaving Shed- it was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely shared patio area through french windows. The whole hotel is quirky and tastefully decorated- i loved the library area. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant and also breakfast over looking the river the next morning which was perfect. We then enjoyed at day at Hampton Court with our free entry tickets. I am so glad we chose this hotel, everything felt really special - wish we had longer there.

We all had a fabulous stay at this hotel. All the staff can’t do enough for you…Morgan is so professional he notices everything that is required at a table without us having to ask, which is a very rare talent these days. What a delight it was to have fresh milk in my room with delicious homemade biscuits these little touches mean a lot. The rooms are beautifully decorated and cleaned to a high standard, food in the restaurant was also delicious as was breakfast. Hampton court was just across the road with plenty of little bars cafes and restaurants about. I will definitely be looking forward to my next visit in this little gem!!

Fantastic! Staff super helpful and friendly. Room was lovely and lots of little extras that make this place special. I won’t tell you as it will spoil the surprise! Breakfast delicious. In fact the hotel was one of the best I have visited for a while and we will try some of the others of the same group.
