The hotel rooms do not look anything like the website pictures. It didn't look like it had ever been cleaned and had stains up the walls, carpet was filthy, toilet seat loose, tap spinning on basin. The hotel was really noisy in the night with doors slamming at 2am and 4am and constant radiator/pipe work noise.

The reviews had me so worried about staying here but honestly it’s fine! Not the nicest hotel in the world but it was clean, friendly and perfect as a one night stay after a party in the area. Breakfast was fine, for the price I can’t complain!

Truly Awful - I have just been here for the day for a training course. Thank god that I was not staying here. I think that even the Home Office would turn up their noses at letting anyone stay in this place.

We had very realistic expectations for this hotel based on its three star rating. They were too high! We upgraded to a suite with the expectation of having a decent sized room with upgraded facilities. We were sadly deluded. From the moment we stepped into reception (which also doubled as a pub bar) we knew we’d dropped a clanger. The entire building is confused, poorly kept and full of residents, pub goers and randoms. The room was downright plain awful, as was the journey to the room. A maze of corridors akin to one of those cheap American horror movies. Our window was broken, the net curtains were ripped and the bed frame was filthy. We couldn’t wait to get out. The bathroom was awful. The photos in the website are nothing like the spec of the rooms or the promised vibe. As I said we didn’t have high hopes, but we left with no hope. Personally I think that the hotel should be questioned about their claims of ‘Timeless elegance and modern comfort’.

We have just stayed at this hotel and have had a very restless night as the pillows are very poor. When we woke up there was a letter pushed under the door stating that our room was scheduled for routine maintenance putting extra pressure on us to be leaving early. We feel that they should have informed us at check-in or booked us into a room that was not on the maintenance schedule. With a poor night's sleep and poor communication they have now lost any future bookings from ourselves. This hotel has potential yet needs improvements. Small touches such as a fan in the room , better pillows and better bedroom furniture and it could be very busy .
