I booked these “woodsy” cabins through Marriott Bonvoy expecting an actual nature escape. Reality: “the woods” are basically a few trees ringed by suburban houses—you can see lawns and rooftops in every direction. For the price, that’s wild. Service didn’t help. I politely asked for a simple 30-minute late checkout and was denied without a second thought because they were “very busy.” It was a Sunday morning in mid-November—hardly peak season—and the tone was curt. Between the inflated rates, the not-so-woodsy setting, and the shoulder-shrug service, I won’t be back. Save your money and find a true getaway elsewhere.

We only stayed for one night but the postcard cabin was fantastic. Extremely clean and comfortable- cabin felt brand new. We grilled outside, with the ready to go fire pit. Small fridge and little kitchen had everything you would need knives and Himalayan salt and pepper and great coffee. Beds were very very comfortable. East Haddam town was a very short drive and adorable. Incredible time. So glad we stayed here rather than double the cost for a standard chain hotel. Also close to the exquisite Gillette castle and park.

Cozy stay, generous condiments including a delicious smores package, firewood and starter. The shower had a slow drain but everything else was so good we can’t dock a star for that. Thanks!

It was quiet, relaxing, comfortable and outstanding clean. Check in was simple and easy, even with running behind schedule and a little hiccup with the door code. I got a response from a worker in 1 minute at a late hour. We well be booking another stay at the cabins in the future!!

Check in was easy, the cabin was clean and comfortable, and the overall area was quiet and peaceful. The ability to have a small campfire was a welcome bonus.

We had an amazing time! I celebrated my birthday weekend here and all the amenities and the location made it so special! It’s so close to the attractions and the town itself is beautiful! The cabin is so nicely maintained and so clean! The firewood, the snacks, coffee/tea are lovely touches! Highly recommended!
