The location is perfect. Alternative parking was offered if needed, which it was not as we parked in the front of The George. The room was spacious (we were in number 10) with a sitting area and desk for those who require to do work ... the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was top notch ... we ordered Steak and Ale Pie, which was delicious and Fish and Chips (asked for them to leave off the fresh/mushy peas) ... the fish was enormous, fresh and very tasty ... the fries/chips were homemade. All in all, we would highly recommend The George.

We dropped in as staying close by and the lovely ladies I spoke to went above & beyond to fit us in even though they were packed! We sat in the snug which was so charming, all 6 of us felt really relaxed. The drinks were delivered with a smile and although you didn’t know it, you made 2 birthday girls very happy. 5 Sunday lunches & a burger were so tasty we all loved our choices. So many vegetables, delicious well cooked meat, the nicest nut roast I’ve tasted & huge fluffy yorkshires!

Currently staying here at The George Hotel in Easingwold. Beautifully appointed bedroom, en-suite and plenty of USB points, Smart TV etc. Breakfast and evening meal are superb. Free on site parking too. Staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area. Great base for exploring the area, 100% recommended.

The George Hotel in Easingwold is the BEST. The minute you step in the fabulous warm friendly atmosphere welcomes you. The food is outstanding and cannot be faulted in anyway A credit to the chef for his preparation and presentation. The staff are all wonderful and can’t do enough to make you comfortable and enjoy your stay. I cannot recommend this place enough . So if you are visiting and eating or staying this is the place. Nothing around can match it.!!!

Lovely pub in the heart of the village with delicious food. We had booked the window table in the restaurant as there were 5 of us for a special occasion. The food was plentiful and we all enjoyed our choices (duck/fish and chips/steak pie). They don’t offer a children’s menu as such but we opted for a smaller version of the fish and chips which was great. The decor throughout the whole pub is lovely, especially in the restaurant with pretty table centre pieces and candles. It had a lovely atmosphere. We visited at 6.30pm on a Tuesday night and by 8pm it was heaving so I would suggest booking for food. The following day we popped back in for a glass of Pinot blush and a real ale. Would recommend highly to others, we will definitely revisit.

Excellent Sunday roast beef dinner three courses £28 superb value . The portions were huge and delicious .. service was exemplary friendly and professional . The venue is quirky spacious and clean , after reading some other reviews I was expecting lots of fogs .. not one 🤷‍♀️ I highly reccomend a visit !
