We booked this after staying a few months ago (it was amazing the first time!) And we paid an extra £80 for a 1 night stay. We were very disappointed. We expressed all our concerns on checking out and was told we'd be contacted but heard nothing despite me sending a follow up email. We were also told that all the staff had changed between when we last came. The lodge; The lodge was not as good as last time - *No soap or shower gel *Unclean cups - and nothing to clean them with *Blocked toilet *Shower useless Spa; *Showers at pool cold *Holes in the towels *Men's changing room flooded Restaurant; *No soap in ladies restaurant toilets and smelt awful *No toilet roll in men's *Had to ask to order food half hour after being seated *Dirty plates on table/table unclean *Wrong food order came *Waited over hour for kids pasta, we'd eaten our before kids came *My food was burnt *Dirty dish with chips in *Kids given cheap pasta not the ribbons on menu *Half the menu items not available *Cheddar not feta on burgers making it drip in grease * Breakfast chaotic Overall such a disappointment especially at £250 a night and especially as management can't be bothered to make contact and discuss the concerns.

This was our last stop on our Wales roadtrip. Definitely the most luxurious place we stayed in. Hotel room was clean and warm. We had a lot of space. But there wasn’t a bath mat for the shower room which I thought was odd. We just took our towels from the spa back to the room and put them on the floor. Spa facilities were included in the price which was good. All very clean and it was lovely to do a swim, sauna and steam. Although the hot tub was the same temperature as the pool so I didn’t go in there. We had an evening meal at the restaurant on site and the food was very pleasant. It was three courses for under £25 and the drinks were about standard. Although I asked for water several times and in the end I got up and got myself a jug. If I ask for a jug of water, please bring that over first. Besides that, the staff were very friendly. I’ll advise not ordering the gnocchi pictured unless you like mushy peas. Breakfast was very good. A great array of sweet and savoury options. The fire alarm did go off twice in the hotel area around 7:30am and there were no staff around to confirm whether it was serious or not. Safety comes first but it did disrupt our lie-in. I would recommend this location and we had an enjoyable stay.

We stayed in a lovely detached lodge with hot tub. The lodge was lovely and clean as always. My family stayed for 6 days again. My adult Son enjoyed the cocktail bar and enjoyed ng some nice people there and we all enjoyed the lovely clean hot tub. I found the swimming pool a little bit too cold to stay in long. The only disappointment was the View restaurant on our first visit in June the food was wonderful but on this visit the food we ordered in the evening was a complete disappointment. We did complain and were not charged for it We will be back soon to this lovely resort and hope the problems in the resturant will be better on our next visit. I would recommend this lovely peaceful resort best time is when the schools are all back as it is peaceful then. That's my best tip

After our previous visit in April I stated that we would return. Being true to my word we have just completed a three night stay with family to celebrate a Birthday. We hired two Lodges with different contrasts. Four adults stayed in a 2 Bedroom premium Lodge whilst another two adults stayed in a one Bedroom Classic. Both accommodations were excellent with facilities like Microwave, Cooker, Toaster, Kettle, Fridge and even an Ironing board and Iron. An improvement on our previous stay is the Bistro table and chairs on the Veranda which lets you chill and let the world go by. If I had any criticism about the accommodation would be the cobwebs around the veranda though they were easily brushed away. We visited each Bar which offer something different to facilitate all preferences being either Sports, Music or a little relaxation. All staff are friendly and helpful, with special mentions for Dominique ( Manager ) and Victoria on Reception who is so nice and friendly and ensures that you are happy with your stay. I will be returning for a late Autumn break and I have also booked for our Summer Holidays next year. I just Love the place, so different and Special.

Great food tonight. Soup was tasty and had a lovely texture. Fish n chips were so crispy and delicious. Sticky toffee pudding was also very good. Set meal was very good value. Great waitress.

We stayed one night in this resort and we had a fantastic time. All the staff are so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay so good. After we had a lovely swim in pool and used the facilities we had a drink in the lounge bar. There were a number of people having afternoon tea which looked delicious but we only wanted a scone I asked Flynn if we could order one which they don't normally serve he asked the kitchen and we got our scones.!!! The evening meal was wonderful and again staff really helpful. We will be staying for 2 nights next time. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Not the Peaceful Retreat I Expected The Marian Resort & Spa looks attractive from the outside, with its chalet-style village that is especially pretty at night. However, the reality of staying here was disappointing. Accommodation The interior of the chalet felt rather basic and minimalistic—there was no table lamp, no coffee table, and the lounge lacked any sense of comfort. A musty smell lingered inside, and the rooms had very little natural light. Practical details were also overlooked, such as nowhere to place toiletries in the shower, and I even noticed electric wiring outside the cabin, which didn’t inspire confidence. Noise was another problem: heavy footsteps and banging doors from above disturbed the evenings and nights. Dining This was where the stay really fell short. Breakfast was chaotic, with no one clearly in charge. If you asked for something, you weren’t guaranteed to get it. For example, I had to ask several times before my gluten-free toast finally arrived, and even simple details like salt and pepper pots being filled were overlooked. Dietary needs and intolerances are not well handled overall. A chocolate croissant was placed next to gluten-free pastries, making contamination almost certain. Items weren’t labelled, and staff seemed unsure how to advise on intolerances. This is a serious gap in service. On top of this, healthy options were very limited. There were very few high-fibre choices, and many of the available items were loaded with sugar and fat—hardly what you’d expect from a spa resort that should be promoting wellness. Evenings were slightly better organised, thanks to a maître d’ overseeing the dining. But the atmosphere was spoiled by very loud disco music coming from the bar area next door. With the doors left open, it carried straight into the restaurant and made dinner feel anything but relaxing. The dining package is also confusing—the “£25 dinner” option is not a fixed menu but treated as a deposit against the bill, which doesn’t represent good value. Atmosphere The resort clearly attracts younger groups and parties, which brings with it a lively but often noisy environment. If you’re seeking a peaceful getaway, this may not be the right choice. The outside is undeniably impressive and gives the feel of a Swiss village, but the inside experience and running of the resort fall short of that promise. Spa & Pool I didn’t use these facilities, so I can’t comment. Overall While the chalet village looks appealing from the outside, the interior standards, lack of attention to dietary needs, limited healthy choices, breakfast disorganisation, loud evening music, and poor-value dining package meant the stay was not what I had hoped for. This resort might suit younger visitors looking for a lively break, but it’s not ideal for those wanting comfort, quiet, or good dietary support. I would not stay again.

Came for lunch today with a friend absolutely terrible food. We both ordered the simplest meal of soup, sandwiches and chips, where to start….. Soup cold sandwiches felt like they had just came out of the freezer and chips were hard. Asked kitchen staff to reheat both soups when they returned soup it was only just lukewarm told her and she was quite unpleasant to me saying well do you want me to ask them to heat it up again saying it through gritted teeth. The only positive was the Barstaff who couldn’t have been more apologetic and kind. I would not recommend going for food here also waited 15 minutes at reception for staff

We did the dinner bed and breakfast stay in the cabin The grounds are lovely however the cabin could have done with a better clean, cup marks on the table, bits on the sofa and floor dirty, bed was really comfy. The pool facilities were good with jacuzzi, sauna, steam however couldn’t use pool initially as someone had broken glass in there, once allowed back in only managed to swim one length before being told had to come out again due to glass. The dinner and breakfast were really good, good variety and tasty. The part I’m disappointed in is I booked my friend a pedicure in the spa, she’s never had one and I have pedicures every month, and I was treating her to her first one. I did not expect at £45 for her to be sat in the walk through of the reception area, on plastic chairs, and feet in a plastic bowl (it wasn't even a pedicure bowl with the massage and bubbles) She said the lady who did her pedicure was very nice, but she kept having to stop so my friend could move as her bum was going numb, this isn't the experience i received at local salons, or at any other spas and didn't expect this to be the experience she received. I emailed the spa but to date not heard back Overall I wouldn’t recommend or return
