This is a Chinese-owned hotel, close to the airport and train station, with a Chinese restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dushanbe is a small city, and only taxis are available, and sometimes it is difficult to get a taxi. Very central, directly next to post office and train station. A very Chinese-centric hotel, hence why only available on trip.com one assumes. Staff were confused how I was able to book this hotel!
Massive room and quite modern, but…. Typical poor Chinese building standards. Plumbing smelt and a delightful piece of poo came floating out of the shower pan drain one morning. Suffice to say, I was somewhat disturbed.
The next day when a cockroach (I assume?) decided to fly (quite literally) out of the AC unit onto my bed, I woke up quite quickly, I must say!
Electric toilet was curious, if not a little confusing!
Lots of bathroom accessories though.
Get the plumbing fixed and the… hygiene looked into, and it would be very reasonable.
