Definitely not the quality of a Hilton that we are accustomed to. The Hilton’s were sold out in the area so we got reservations here. The room small room smells very musty or moldy.

We stay here a lot as it is very close to Duke and it is a good value. The staff is excellent and always friendly and helpful. We got in early for an event and the front desk allowed us to check in early which was a huge help! The beds are comfortable. My hope is that the bathrooms are updated soon which I feel would make a big difference. Also, the would be great if the cafe was open more often.

My stay consisted of 2 nights and 3 days, due to surgery needed to be perform that Monday. As a long time Marriott member, I was surprised of the "lack" of upkeep at this hotel. Landscaping needs updating, majority of the tree branches need to be prune back; tree branches block the walkway entrance toward the hotel, in the parking lot, branches are low that can scratch the vehicle or prevent getting in or out of it. Panhadlers hang around the entrance or the parking lot asking for money. I was given room 241, the room was old and dated, torn curtains, old and scratch furniture. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Wasps/Honet nest developing on patio. Bathroom needs updating; toilet sits too low-felt like I was going through "potty training" The Staff, however, was professional, friendly, and helpful.

In 25 years of traveling, probably the worst manager (Derick) and staff. So many problems occurred out stay, including a large mirror falling off the wall next to our bed. Derick has an attitude and needs MAJOR training in customer service....or a new job working with inanimate objects.

Kind and attentive staff. The lobby is attractive, and the fitness center and pool area were great. However, sleeping at this facility left me completely unrested. The walls are paper-thin. In the first room we were in, you could hear cars, trucks, motorcycles. It got so bad, we packed up our things, contacted the front desk, and moved to another room in the middle of the night. The new room was great for being away from the highway, but terrible for everything else. We could hear people talking, showering, closing doors. The room next door was so loud in conversation that I had to knock on his door to tell him to talk softer. We should not have been able to hear him in the first place. If you're here for a night or two, it's fine, but any longer, I'd recommend staying elsewhere. This hotel should also consider getting rid of the carpet in the rooms, considering how many people and pets walk on it.

We always stay here when we are in Durham for hospital appointments. This hotel is convenient to the hospitals, eating establishments, gas station, drug store. Not far is grocery also.

It is near Duke University, has a shuttle service on schedule, and a very charming pool and outdoor lounge area. Rooms are nice with a comforting view to inner courtyard.
