It was great for the price.. got to visit the small town of Durango went to purgatory see about the slopes and spend some quality time with my boyfriend which was very nice we needed that time alone thanks

Another good property by holiday Inn in Durango. Very good location, adjacent to the old historic district. Good parking. Nice and smooth check in. Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Ample luggage space and good amenities. Lobby was nice and bright. The breakfast area was overlooking the river. Breakfast was also good. We got the room on level 1 so very convenient. You could just walk across to the historic town for shopping and food. Price also reasonable.

We loved the location however road construction in front of the hotel was challenging. Bed was comfortable but pillows a little flat for me. Wanted a River view mistakenly booked mountain side which is parking lot side. Still all and all very nice stay people very friendly and accommodating. Could have switched rooms but decided to stay where I was. Also parking fee was kinda a surprise 10.00 per day. Breakfast was amazing hot and good. Best ever for free with the rate!

Always a great place but could use a bit of help
Breakfast options were great, staff at the front desk as well. However, our room wasn't cleaned on our first day, and then the second day, only one bed was made and the towels not renewed?

Nice motel but very generic. We have stayed at the General Palmer hotel before and it has much more character and a more interesting breakfast and frankly a friendlier staff , more space in the room, and a better location without a parking charge. We won't stay at the Holiday Inn Express again.

The hotel was decent and we were hopeful. Something made a clanging noise at some intervals all night long. Maybe it was the refrigerator. It woke me up a few times in the middle of the night. The bed was hard. The parking lot is very small and fills up early. Breakfast was good, with the usual items. The egg white omelette was very good. Other items they had were scrambled eggs, sausage, English muffins, bagels, sliced bread, pancakes, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fruit yogurt, milk and chocolate milk, coffee, and juices. On the weekends, it started at 7. It seemed like many people were waiting for it including us as we had to make it to our next adventure on time.

We stayed here for two nights. I booked because it was on the river and close to downtown. Like other reviewers have mentioned, you do have to cross a pretty busy street and walk two blocks to get to the downtown area. Not terrible, but something to keep in mind. The hotel itself has a nice little parking garage to park in. Breakfast was well stocked and typical of a holiday inn. When we arrived to our first room, there was pet hair all over the bedspread and underneath the sheets. We were offered to change the sheets ourselves (front desk attendant said they weren’t “trained” to do that… girl, same.) or move to another room. Obviously we took a different room. It felt cleaner with the exception of few hairs on the bathroom floor.
